With Waccamaw River Tours, you explore by boat the beautiful cypress-lined Waccamaw River and the Intracoastal Waterway. Come with us and explore the back creeks and swamps in search of birds and other wildlife that inhabit these southern waters within the untouched National Wildlife Refuge. The majesty of the moss-lined river is breathtaking and the peacefulness of this natural area is appealing to all. Large osprey nests can be seen along the river and at certain times of the year we are lucky enough to see the babies take their first flights. You may also see herons, egrets, cormorants, ducks, turtles, alligators and much more. Join us today for a Waccamaw River Tour adventure!

ARRIVE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE TOUR TIME. IF YOU ARRIVE ONE MINUTE PAST TOUR TIME YOU WILL MISS THE BOAT. PLAN ACCORDINGLY. Turn off Enterprise Rd. follow signs for Waccamaw River Tours to the back of the property, check-in at the gift shop and then sit down by the river or play the swing ring game until tour time.

5.00One of the best tours we’ve ever taken! Agnes did an excellent job, she made the whole experience very delightful with her great sense of humor plus vast knowledge! Captain was great, the gift shop was so cute and had a nice variety of local products to choose from. Everyone was so friendly! We had an amazing time! Can’t recommend it enough!

5.00Excellent! Agnes the tour guide was hilarious, and we learned SO much. Very enjoyable and smooth ride. Saw 3 gators, tons of yellow sliders (turtles), birds, nests, and more. Highly recommend!

5.00We returned to this tour because we wanted our friends to experience it. (Our last tour was pre pandemic) Agnes was amazing -she shared really interesting and educational observations and spiced her presentation with humor as well. Honestly, she was non stop thorough and enjoyable!

3.00It was a nice pontoon ride and we did see nesting Osprey, several turtles, a snake, and a couple alligators. The tour guide did a good job and gave some interesting facts concerning the river and area. For our family we thought the tour was average.

5.00We had such a great time! The weather was beautiful, our tour was so relaxing! We loved seeing all the wildlife along the intracoastal. Agnes out your guide was knowledgeable, playful, interesting and funny! Her and Captain Sid gave us a great tour. We learned about how special Tupelo honey is and were able to taste it! We learned about how there were rice plantations along the Waccamaw River. We learned why the river is the color it is. We were down for spring break, and this Mama always likes to sneak a little education and culture into every vacation. This was perfect for ALL ages! The folks who registered us were helpful, kind and knowledgeable too. If you are looking for a great family excursion, this is it right here. You won't be disappointed! Agnes also shared some great places to go locally and a little off the beaten path along the way, pointing out historic places, regional cultural places of interest and some great places to eat! We would do this tour again! You may want to bring a light jacket. There is a bathroom on the pontoon, and snacks and drinks available to purchase as well. We purchased some tupelo honey and the rice we learned about 💗 This is not a corporate owned business, so I hope you will all read this and support them! They do a great job! 🐢
