Let us give you the ultimate desert experience. We will show you all the highlights of Wadi Rum. During the tour we cook a traditional lunch on the fire, and we end the tour at the best sunset viewpoint.
After the tour we go to the cave. Your guide will prepare a traditional Bedouin dinner, cooked outside on the fire. At night we sit around the fire, share stories about our culture, relax and enjoy the peace or make music. The cave is in a remote area, no tourists or lights around you, perfect for stargazing!
The jeep tour starts at 10:00 and ends at sunset.
We visit the following sights: Lawrence spring, Khazali Canyon, Red sand dune, Little bridge, Um Fruth Rock Bridge, Abu khashaba canyon, Lawrence house, White desert, Mushroom rock and Burdah rock bridge
At each stop you have time to explore the sight and interact with locals. Some sights have tents with little shops and free tea.

Wadi Rum Village
Wadi Rum Village - We will meet at the Rest House in Wadi Rum Village. This is the first place you will see on your right, when you enter the village. There is a supermarket and a souvenir shop and our office is just around the corner. When all tourists are present and welcomed by the guide, we start the jeep tour (usually around 10:00)
Lawrence's Spring
Lawrence Spring - This natural water source with cool water running down the mountains into the throughs, is the camels' favorite hangout! With small trees and the almost fluorescent green moss, this is a true oasis. Relax here, just as the Bedouins and their herds used to do, and watch how herds of camels pass by, longing for fresh water. Or climb up the mountain to see spectacular views and the many inscriptions of Thamudic origin.
Jebel Khazali
Khazali Canyon - From the outside, this looks like an ordinary mountain, but when you enter the canyon between the split mountains, you take a journey back in time. You can see the traces of the merchants who traveled with their caravans from Egypt to Damascus, and of the pilgrims who passed through the canyon to Mecca. See the fascinating Thamudic, Nabatean, and Islamic inscriptions, and petroglyphs of humans, animals, and soles of feet when you enter the canyon. And a series of basins in the back.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Red Sand Dune - This is the most famous sand dune in Wadi Rum! It owes its red color to a high concentration of iron oxide. It seems like a simple climb, but the sand is soft and difficult to walk on, which makes it challenging for tourists to climb, but very entertaining for the locals to watch. At the top you can enjoy amazing panoramic views of the valley. The best way to get down is running or sandboarding.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Little Bridge - Through years of various severe weather influences, this natural Little Bridge has been formed on a rock formation in the Khor El Ajram area. It is called Little Bridge because it’s only a few meters high and easy to climb, but the views are stunning and on pictures it looks pretty big and impressive. It’s perfect for families with children, and those who don’t want to climb too high. When you come down again, a cup of sweet tea awaits you in the Bedouin tent where you can buy souvenirs or relax and hang out with locals.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Umm Fruth Rock Bridge - This 15-meter-high bridge is the most famous bridge in Wadi Rum. It is not a historical place but it is the ultimate place to take enviable photos. Give your phone or camera to your guide who will stay on the ground and take an impressive photo of you on top of the bridge. The locals run up and down the bridge with ease, but for tourists it is a bit more challenging. That is why small holes have been made which makes the climb a bit easier.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Traditional Bedouin Lunch - We will take you to a nice place with a good view, where your guide prepares a delicious traditional lunch, cooked outside on the fire. The menu is different every day, but we like to cook you a warm meal with vegetables, bread, hummus, yoghurt, and other local treats. While we are cooking, you can explore the area with a hike, or just sit down and relax while you enjoy the Wadi Rum landscape.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Abu Khashaba Canyon - Stretch your legs and enjoy a nice walk in this deep narrow valley, surrounded by tall mountain walls. There’s a lot of green, which makes a beautiful contrast with the red desert sand. You will see many different types of trees and plants, and hear countless birds chirping. The locals have hung bottles to collect the rainwater so that the birds can drink from it. It is a real oasis of peace. The walk takes 30 to 45 minutes, and your guide will pick you up on the other side.
Lawrence's House
Lawrence's House - Lawrence's house plays an important role in the history of Wadi Rum. Nabateans laid the foundation for this place over 2000 years ago which was used as a stop for the passing caravans. Later it became known as Lawrence's house, because TE Lawrence, in the story "Lawrence of Arabia" was based here. When you reach the top after a short climb, you will be amazed by the countless piles of stones. In the past, the Bedouins used to stack stones as road markings. You can see far into the vast desert plain, which again makes for great photos.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
White Desert - Wadi Rum is known for the red sand where most of the highlights of the tour are, but further south the area changes into the white desert. It seems as if you have entered a completely different world. This area is not yet heavily visited by tourists, so there is much more flora to discover and a better chance to spot wildlife. It’s very special to stand in the white sand and see the transition to the red part in the distance. You can also notice a difference in the landscape, the rock formations and even the sand itself.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Mushroom Rock - In Wadi Rum there are many famous rock formations, known for its unusual and sometimes even funny shape. The Musroom shaped rock owes its shape to years of erosion, with the lower part wearing out faster than the upper part. Mushroom Rock is fun place to take nice pictures and find some shelter. Bedouins used rock formations like this to seek shelter, after walking in the hot desert for hours.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Burdah Rock Bridge - At the top of Jabal Burdah, you will find one of the highest natural rock bridges in the world. During the jeep tour we make a stop close by so that we can admire the bridge from a distance. The total climb to the bridge can take up to 4 hours, this is not included in the jeep tour and can be booked via a hiking tour or upon request.
Wadi Rum Protected Area
Sunset Viewpoint - Wadi Rum is known for having the most breathtaking sunsets. And we know the best places to watch it! We will take you to a secluded area where you can overlook the wide panoramic landscape as the sun sets, while we prepare some sweet Bedouin tea on the fire. Just sit on the mattrass or in the sand and take in all the beauty you see around you.

Indescribable experience, with real Bedouin guides (shoutout to Atilla). It’s a perfect mix of everything: during the day we could go around Madi Rum, visiting all the main attractions/dunes/canyons/etc. Our group of 5 stopped for lunch in a very private fissure, where we had amazing food cocked by Atilla. We could also try sand boarding and we enjoyed the sunset on a high point. The cave where we spent the night in was more cozy than we expected, since we were given soft blankets and a sort of mattress to sleep on. We felt always safe, and stargazing was unbeatable! Once again, 100% recommended!

Absolutely amazing and unique experience in the middle of desert, we eat nicely, sleep well, watch beautiful star and hear dogs barking (wolf?) and ride camel and also slide in the sand tune. The landscape is spectacular.

This is by far my favourite place on Earth. First time I've been here was back in may 2022 and I fell in love with this place so I came back in may 2024 and this year (2025) I'll visit again. That's how much I love it! This desert is amazing: you have to take a jeep tour (most of the bedouin camps can put it together for you) and I would recommend a 4 to 8 hour tour, to see most of it because every part of it is different. You'll see red and sand dunes, the tall mountains that rise up straight out of sand, the unique shape of the rocks and mountains, and of course, a sky full of starts from a bedouin camp, in the middle of the desert. That feeling, stargazing next to a fire in the desert, it's amazing, unique and hard to experience somewhere else. I advise you to visit during spring or fall because of the high temperatures. Also, in may we had 37 degrees Celsius but they were bearable because there is no humidity and it's quite easy to breathe if there are no sandstorms (also caught one). During the tour I would adivsce to keep you ears protected with a scarf because it can get pretty windy at times and also keep your head and shoulders covered up so you don't get sunburnt. Spend at least one day and one night here, take the jeep tour and stagazing tour and immerse yourself into this amazing, ancient world <3

Our tour guide Rashid seemed a bit reserved at first but as we continued this changed. At lunch time he cooked for us and told us about bedouin culture, his family etc and we asked a lot of questions. You could tell he loves the bedouin community and tradition. At every stop he told us a few interesting facts and gave us as much time as we wanted. I didn’t expect to have such a variety of stops in a desert. He did that really well. Bakhir joined for the sunset tea. For the night Hamir drove us to the cave, cooked for us and prepared everything. For my friend and myself this part was probably the best part of the whole Jordan trip: walking just a hundred meters away I dived into the incredible stillness of the desert with no more tourist around, enjoying the view in a dimmed light. It was incredible. Hamir was a lot of fun too. He was just himself. We recommend this tour.

The tour was an experience that you definitely shouldn't miss. In my opinion, our guide "Omar", who is only 20 years old, was the best guide you could imagine. Incredibly friendly, funny and you immediately feel at ease with him. And if you are a young, cool group, he can really step on the gas, then the trip through the desert is a real adventure and really fun. We saw pretty much everything you can see on a day tour. All the sights, we went sandboarding, Omar cooked us lunch in the desert and a small but nice highlight was a volleyball court in the middle of the desert, where we played a round with other tourists and locals. > and yes, it was damn hot. We had actually booked to spend the night outdoors, but unfortunately we had to stay in one of the camps due to the weather conditions, which we were actually happy about because there was sand everywhere and a shower was a blessing. In the camp we had a traditional Zerb dinner (the food is cooked underground). Unfortunately we didn't get to see the starry sky we were hoping for. That would have been the icing on the cake. Nevertheless, the tour was absolutely brilliant. A little information on the side: For most of the sights you have to walk a few meters uphill. You should therefore be prepared for a few meters uphill and a few steps. With temperatures sometimes over 30 degrees, this is not to be underestimated.

It was an INCREDIBLE experience, I recommend the WADI RUM DESERT DREAM agency a thousand times. A large family attentive to our needs and desires, smiling and caring people. Wadi Rum is a must-see place in Jordan, spending the night there is one of the best experiences we have had. A real way to disconnect and learn a lot about Bedouin life.
