Discover the incredible oasis of Wadi Shab - one of the last places in Oman where you can chill in fresh blue water surrounded by mountains. Enjoy a rewarding full-day experience as you explore this spectacular waterfall in a cave.

Start the tour with pick up from your hotel in Muscat. Hop into an air-conditioned vehicle and set off on a 2-hour scenic drive through the otherworldly landscapes of Oman. Along the route, stop at a local coffee shop to try an energizing Omani tea. When you arrive at your destination, hidden away in the canyon of the dry river Wadi-Shab, take a very quick boat ride to the other side of the bank. From here, embark on your 40-minute hike. During the walk, experience the awesome power of nature which has forged the rock formations of this impressive canyon.

On the way back, stop to see a beautiful lake located in the Bimmah Sinkhole. Finally, return to the vehicle and begin the drive back to Muscat where you will be dropped off at your hotel.

This is an absolutely unmissable trip, but new prepared for the hike! Despite being an early start (we were picked up from the hotel at 07:30) our guide Qais was very welcoming and very excited to take us out, blasting music in the bus and getting everyone pumped up and full of energy. When we arrived at the Wadi the hike looked very easy, but as we went further up it got harder and more challenging, especially in the hot sun! The water was perfect, but the rocks were very slippery and everything felt a bit rushed as we went up through the pools and back. We didn’t really have time to relax and enjoy the views. The lunch afterwards was absolutely delicious, especially as we were all starving after all the walking and swimming! Finally, when we got to the sinkhole it was very underwhelming. The pictures make it look a lot more majestic than it actually is, especially after being in the wadi all morning! Qais was a fantastic guide with limitless energy for the day, I honestly don’t know how he managed to keep going when all of us were struggling and getting exhausted! He made the whole day brilliant and definitely helped us to push through to the most spectacular areas of the tour.

The thing is challenging during the heat , but it is worth it . The guide was nice , spoke English well and is very helpful and knowledgeable. I believe his name was Muhhanad . He is so good in a way that a girl lost her sunglasses in deep water and he found them for her. The lunch was also great. Just make sure to gear up before you go. It is a challenging way, but very very rewarding

Trekking through Wadi Shab was an amazing experience! The views were breathtaking, and though the hike was a bit hot, the crystal-clear water was perfect for a refreshing swim. Swimming through the cave was unforgettable! Huge thanks to our guide, Mazin, who was super helpful and made the trip even better. Highly recommend!

This is a phenomenal experience and I enjoyed all aspects of it. The driver/guide Mahmood picked me up at my hotel right on the time he said he would, and we drove over to the area. We had a group of around eight people and everyone was great. We parked, and started the hike to the waterfall. We arrived to the waterfall and swam a little, the water was so clear and pretty. Bring googles if you have them! Mahmood was a 10/10 guide, very professional.

wadi shab is a combination of so many different conditions that deeply fascinate you: local fruit trees, hiking path, swiming in clear waters and then finally the cave, very hard access which then pays you back for the beauty of that place. anybody not being a proved walker and a very good swimmer (however, upon departure at the jetty you may even rent a life jacket) should think twice before undertaking this adventure
