Jamaa El Fna Square is the vibrant heart of Marrakesh and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Located at the entrance to the old Medina, it’s one of the most iconic and lively squares in the world. By day, it buzzes with snake charmers, henna artists, street performers, and traditional water sellers in colorful outfits. As evening falls, the square transforms into a stage of Moroccan culture—storytellers, musicians playing Gnawa rhythms, and the aroma of sizzling street food fill the air. Food stalls offer everything from grilled meats to harira soup. Surrounded by historic cafés, rooftop terraces, and with the Koutoubia Mosque’s minaret in view, Jamaa El Fna is both a gateway to the souks and a symbol of Marrakesh’s rich heritage. Koutoubia Mosque
The Koutoubia Mosque is the largest and most famous mosque in Marrakesh, standing as a masterpiece of Almohad architecture. Built in the 12th century, its name comes from the Arabic word “kutubiyyin”, meaning booksellers, as it was once surrounded by a bustling market of manuscript vendors. The mosque’s 77-meter-high minaret, visible from miles away, is an iconic symbol of the city and served as a model for other famous towers like the Giralda in Seville and the Hassan Tower in Rabat. Adorned with intricate arches and geometric patterns, the minaret is crowned with four copper spheres. Though non-Muslims cannot enter the mosque, its beauty can be admired from the surrounding gardens and squares. Especially stunning at sunset, the Koutoubia Mosque remains not just a place of worship but a historical and cultural landmark that reflects the spiritual and architectural heritage of Marrakesh

5.00I had the opportunity to travel through several cities in Morocco with Karim as my tour guide, including time exploring Marrakesh, and I can’t recommend him enough. Karim is incredibly passionate about what he does and about Morocco itself — that love comes through in every story, every street, and every moment. As a solo woman traveler, He made me feel safe and well cared for throughout the trip, always attentive to the group’s needs while keeping things fun and engaging. He’s genuinely funny, easy to be around, and has a great ability to read the room he can flow with the energy of a group, but also step in with calm leadership and presence when things need to be reeled in and refocused. Exploring the streets of Marrakesh with Karim felt authentic and meaningful, guided by someone who truly loves sharing his country and its culture. His passion and presence made the experience unforgettable

5.00Not a just walk, but an immersive experience of Marrakech old Souk and narrow streets. Our walking tour with Karim was one of the highlights of our trip to Marrakech. He guided us through the medina, souks, and historical sites with so much passion and expertise. Karim made us discover hidden corners, introduced us to local artisans, and shared stories that made the city feel magical. He was patient, funny, and very professional. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Marrakech. Can't recommend this guy enough ❤️ we love you karim from Boston to Marrakesh.!!!

5.00Karim was the key factor in making this tour so amazing. i could not of asked for a better guide to take us on this experience. He was patient, kind, knowledgeable, never inserted himself yet. We were always safe, free to express ourselves, had so much fun, any questions we had about anything, Karim always had the answer. He's the best tour guide ive ever had. i would recommend this tour purely based on how amazing he made the experience. My greatest thanks to Karim.

5.00Our walking tour of Marrakech with Karim was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. Karim has a special way of turning every corner of the city into a story. From the lively alleys of the Medina to the hidden courtyards and the historical monuments, he guided us with confidence, humour, and deep knowledge. He didn’t just show us Marrakech , he helped us feel it. We learned about the architecture, the souks, local traditions, and daily life. Karim also took us to places we would never have discovered on our own, including small artisan workshops and local spots away from the crowds. What made the walk truly memorable was Karim’s kindness and the way he connected with everyone in the group. He was patient, answered every question, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. If you want to discover Marrakech with someone who understands the city inside out and shares it with passion, a walk with Karim is a must. Highly recommended!

5.00We had a lovely time walking with Abdel. We learnt much about the history of Marrakech and Morocco. The walking was easy paced and if we want to see something we were able to stop and do so. Abdel adapted to our interests.

5.00We had a wonderful time exploring Marrakesh on this guided tour in July 2025. Despite the intense summer heat, our guide did an amazing job keeping our family of four comfortable, engaged, and entertained throughout the day. Our guide, Hakeem was incredibly knowledgeable—sharing fascinating history, cultural insights, and answering all of our questions with warmth and enthusiasm. We visited the beautiful Quranic school, wandered through a peaceful local garden, toured a stunning palace, and got to experience the vibrant energy of the souks. It was the perfect mix of learning and fun, and a great way to see the city without feeling overwhelmed. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Marrakesh, especially if you want a deeper understanding of the city’s history and culture without breaking Too much of a sweat.
