This half-day excursion takes us to Sidi Mbark, a small Berber village 35 km south of Essaouira. We walk trough dunes and on a lonesome beautiful beach till we reach a little cascade (which is in summer times dry, due to the drought Morocco is facing) and visit the old Marabout close by (residence for the spirit of a Saint or wise man). Here, the convergence of a large sand dune, a small river, and an imposing rock splendidly frames a lovely bay.

We are invited to a local family for a traditional Berber tea ceremony at the end of the walk.

There is the option to have a donkey with a guide on the walk (supplement), which is fun for kids to ride.

Thanks to Malika our guide for this wonderful hike that I highly recommend!! Breathtaking scenery and guaranteed hospitality at the end with a good homemade tea! Malika is amazingly kind and very attentive. Another big thank you to her for this great time spent together! Well organized overall!

Thanks to Faisal our Guide for this nice little hike, his kindness and his smile. He knows the area perfectly and makes us discover absolutely sublime landscapes. Thanks also to the family who welcomed us home with tea and some local preparations (honey is to fall!). Do not hesitate, even if the waterfall is not what it used to be (but Faisal will tell you better than me).

Nice walk, recomended for the nature lovers. Our guide was very informative. We had a good time. The tea at the Kabuki village was a unique treat. Thank you!

Malika was a wonderful guide. I had a great time and felt like I’d had a good proper walk. The refreshments with mint tea at the Berber home was lovely. Strong recommend.

A big thank you to our guide Fayçal who gave us one of our best times in Morocco. Beautiful landscapes between the sea, the dunes, the waterfall, the marabout, the green hills and the small village, all under the beautiful sun. We came across camels, donkeys, dogs... Fayçal was very friendly, the discussions were very informative, peppered with anecdotes and memories. The welcome in the Berber family was very friendly and what we We ate with tea was delicious. I recommend 100%.

This was a great half day trip, Naima was a great guide - friendly, knowledgeable and very engaging. Would recommend another tour with Naima! Only improvement - the third party driver was speeding and tailgating a lot which made us quite uncomfortable at times. Also recommend to provide cold water, especially on hotter days.
