Born and raised in Skopje, want to present my City in best of lights and in a entertaining manner. We meet at the Central Square, at the entrance of the Ristich Palace( see cover photo), just 20 meters from the Fountain.. From there, we visit the Memorial House of Mother Theresa-The Earthquake Museum-Parliament Building- City Center Monuments-Stone Bridge-The Fortress-The Old Bazaar. Before we start the Tour, we can discuss your preferred options and act upon them.

5.00We have done many tours before, but Aleksandar's tour of Skopje was probably one of the best ever. Maybe even the best. Aleksandar speaks perfect English and about any other language a little bit. The tour is very informative and really very fun and entertaining. You get an honest view of the city and visit all the important sights.

5.00Alexander was fabulous. I'm five star rated tour guide in Munich. He was gracious learning many of our names, answering every question in depth and his English perfect. He had a breath of knowledge, not just of North Macedonian history, but the complexity of the story of the Balkin countries. Throughout he is clear, is charming and has a wonderful sense of humor. Skopje is both a beautiful and strangely fascinating City. The sheer amount of corruption in the building of the city (crumpling but stately) and the statues (I counted 134 so far) is a riveting tale he communicates with with ironic humor. He leaves us upbeat however, he's an optimistist, Alexander is convinced the best days of his city are yet to come. Oh, and please remember to tip him after the tour. N. Macedonia is one of the poorest countries in Europe... An awful hard place to make a living. Thanks Alexander!

5.00Alexander spotted. us easily as we were directed to the meeting place. There were only three of us on the group. He was an interesting guy who was well traveled himself and interested in us and our questions. He didn’t really do a linear history but showed us all of the ways to move around the city center . He clarified many truths behind some common fallacies.
