Mindelo is music! Mindelo Cultural offers three different city tours with different highlights:

1) with music performance of 6 traditional rhythms: 3 hours

2) with music performance and dance workshop: 3.5 hours

3) with music performance and culinary tastings: 4 hours

Your experienced guide, wearing a Mindelo Cultural badge, will meet you at the starting point of the tour. You will see all the sights of Cape Verde's Capital of Culture and learn interesting things from history, society and culture. You will also get to know all the restaurants and bars where you can enjoy live music from talented musicians in the evening. On all tours you will get a unique insight into the cultural richness of the Cape Verde islands, feel their soul and do something good: With your participation you support social projects of the SOS Children's Village in Mindelo.

Guide Marion loves Cape Verde with body and soul. You noticed that on the tour. But as a cultural scholar, she knows how to convey the information about Cape Verde’s history, society, culture and mentality in such a way that you end up feeling like you’ve had a glimpse into the soul of Cape Verdeans. I especially found the insights into the musical culture of Cape Verde interesting. The highlight for me was the "exclusive concert" of musician Eric, who performed the different musical styles of Cape Verde and self-composed songs.

I had a pleasant and informative morning with guide Suzy and guitarist Eric. Suzy is an excellent guide who also told about life as a Cape Verdean. I enjoyed the music. Recommended!!

Great tour, highly recommended! Youre definitely in touch with the local culture and you immerse yourself in the music and from Cabo verde! Awesome guide, musician; and dance teacher! If you have the chance, don’t skip this experience!

After our beautiful city tour and many great places. We ended our visit to a cultural site: CNAD and a bar called freskhinas we listened to a musician who made us travel with local music over a local beer. Dzhen was the musician's name. Thanks again for everything Marion ☺️

Marion was so kind to show me Mindelo despite traveling Solo, not only did she gave me a great insight to the city and its history, we strolled through the market and we went to a little boutique were they even provided a spontaneous vegan snack to me while a singer gave me an insight in the rich variety of Mindelos sounds. Sorry for the delay Marion in my recommendation!

I had booked the dance experience I had a private tour and Marion gave me a lot of inside information and history about Mindelo, after a nice walk with a nice talk we went to the CNAD where a musician and dancer came to explain and teach me the six rhythms of the islands. I really enjoyed it and I surely recommend taking a tour with Marion. Thanks again!

This city tour is perfect for discovering Mindelo and not only experiencing the tourist hot spots, but Marion has conveyed essentials to see something behind the facades of this town. Exciting and thrilling she took us through Mindelo and took us at the end of the tour in a private car still close to our accommodation. Good and thank you!

Have seen all the sights of Mindelo, then we were in a grocery store where a musician played the 6 rhythms of Cape Verde - that was so nice ! We also had fresh juices and small Cape Verde snacks! Marion is a great tour guide who showed us the special Mindelo, which you just cannot find alone. Thank you dear Marion - it was great. Anytime again!!!!
