  We did the War Museum, Killing Fields, and APOPO HeroRATs tour with our 12-year-old daughter, and she was completely amazed from start to finish. The War Museum was incredibly powerful and moving — made even more meaningful by the chance to hear firsthand stories from a veteran, who even took the time to speak with our daughter. That personal connection made the history feel real in a way a textbook never could. Our guide was absolutely perfect: knowledgeable, respectful, and wonderfully attentive throughout the entire day. He guided us smoothly between all locations and explained everything with the right balance of facts, empathy, and cultural context. What we loved most is how much our daughter learned — not only about history, but also geography and Cambodian culture. And of course, the highlight for her was the APOPO HeroRATs! Seeing the important work they do was fascinating, and she was thrilled that she even got to hold one in her arms — a moment she’ll never forget.
