Appointment at 2.30 pm. for the Tour.

The meeting place is in Piazza Scipione Borghese n.5 Villa Borghese, Rome Italy.

First point of interest of the Tour: Sea Horse Fountain, here you will get the materials for painting and for the first lesson.

Second point of interest of the Tour: Temple of Diana, second lesson and stop for painting.

From here you can see the Casina di Raffaello and the Piazza di Siena.

Third point of interest of the Tour: Garden with the lake and Temple of Asclepius.

Third lesson and third stop for painting.

Each stop will be 45 minutes.

Indications and suggestions will be given on how to portray the subjects and how to use watercolours, especially for beginners.

I am Guido Sistopaoli and I have been making watercolors for over 35 years and I make all my experience in this field available to travellers.

During the Tour there will be two or three stops where you will draw and paint with watercolors. We will provide watercolor paper, colors, brush, and everything you need to paint. The places visited will be illustrated and indications will be given on how to portray the subjects to be drawn and suggestions on how to use watercolors and the main watercolor techniques.

We had a lovely time painting with Guido in the Piazzale del Museo Borghese! Guido is a phenomenal artist! He provides all the supplies and encouragement to paint several masterpieces. A great way to slow the day down and take it all in. Be sure to ask Guido about his dog and daughters!
Even a beginner can paint a tree!

Guido is a kind and thoughtful person and a skilled painter and teacher. I’m a very beginner painter and he made me feel at ease. He tailored the activities to meet my needs. I left with a stack of paintings and happy memories of painting in the Borghese Gardens.

Even though we had a hard time finding each other,Guido made every effort to find me and make sure I had a positive experience. We chatted and painted all afternoon. We were pleasantly interrupted by curious onlookers who only enhance the experience of being in the Villa Borghese. Guido is very talented and gently modeled by example. He shared some of his art, as well as some of others who had painted with him. It was a unique experience and one I would do again.

The class was fun and relaxing at the same time. I learned a lot about watercolor in a short time and left feeling more confident. Guido is an amazing teacher and also helped me get out of head and just create. Highly recommend- it is a great way to have an individualized keepsake from your trip to Rome.

We loved this tour! It was just the three of us chatting with Guido and painting some beautiful scenery. He even brought his dog Olly <3 A wonderful way to spend the afternoon!

My mother-in-law who is a watercolor painter and I joined Guido on a private experience of the Villa Borghese. She loved the experience painting fountains situated in a beautiful setting of the Borghese park. Guido is very talented artist that was could work with anyone who does or does not have experience with drawing and/or watercolor. Guido is a great teacher, and conversationalist. Guido was such a lovely guide. It was really nice to explore the gardens and take a break from the hustle of the city. I am someone who enjoys painting as a hobby already but still learned new techniques and found the afternoon to be very relaxing. Thank you again!
