5.00Dresden is immensely passionate about Portland and knows a ton about the area. He does a good job of letting people mingle while also adding value by bringing people together for discussions about the city. This is a fun night out!

5.00Dresden’s tour was such a wonderful, fun, unique way to experience Portland!! You can tell how passionate and knowledgeable he is about the city, and how excited he is to show it off. He did a great job connecting the group and making everyone feel comfortable. Would 100% recommend to anyone taking a trip to Portland, but especially any solo travelers looking to explore areas outside downtown and get a feel for what living in Portland actually looks like for a local :)

5.00This wasn’t what we thought it was going to be but we really enjoyed ourselves. We thought we were going to tour some interesting, “weird” bars. Instead, we got to interact with nice people and have chill but thought-provoking conversation, while exploring a bit of the lower east-side of Portland.

5.00I booked this tour before my vacation to Portland without thinking more than it being something to do. What I did not expect was how friendly, genuine, and neighborly Dresden (tour guide) is. My booking ended up being a solo venture, and I had concerns that my introverted nature would be detrimental to the services that the guide would provide. Nope, I couldn't have been more wrong. Dresden is so incredibly welcoming and accommodating, we hit it off within minutes of meeting. He catered the entire night's events to my needs and interests as well. When I reflect on my experience with Dresden, on my first night in Portland, I honestly can not think of a better way I could've spent that night. I wholeheartedly recommend this bar crawl.

5.00What an amazing time!! Dresden was probably the coolest guide we had in Portland. We got to see some very interesting bars in East Portland and had thought provoking conversations. The group were awesome people and Dresden helped guide the whole night. Would highly recommend!

5.00I set my expectations high, and they were exceeded! Both of Dresden’s tours were full of curious sights, surprising facts, and great questions. I instantly felt like I was on an adventure with friends, and I fell deeper in love with Portland in the process. Not only that, but they helped restore my mind and spirit for the journey ahead and gave me something worth paying forward.

5.00WOW! I had such an amazing experience with Throw Snakes and would highly recommend his tour to anybody visiting the Portland area. Dresden is well-informed on the city of Portland and also shared stories throughout the evening. He took our group of four (most strangers) on his Weird Bar Crawl and facilitated thoughtful conversation that connected us all in one way or another. The pace of the tour was perfect and the locations the pacing was extremely relaxed.

5.00During our Portland trip, the Weird Bar Crawl was definitely one of our favorite activities. Dresden provided a fascinating perspective on local history as we traveled through a fun + eclectic mix of bars. His choices clearly showcased the strong communal nature of the city. We instantly clicked with the other people on tour and had some incredibly deep conversations for the amount of time we had known each other. We stayed at the bar long after the tour officially ended, talking and getting to know each other until much later. The tour ended with us (not so) slightly intoxicated, along with a newfound appreciation of the city and some hilarious stories from new friends. Dresden: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We had a great time getting to know you, throwing snakes, and seeing Portland through your eyes.
