Those who love finding out about the behind the scenes stuff such as costuming will enjoy as well as LOTR fanatics cause you get to be in different scene locations. It was an enjoyable time with a knowledgeable guide.

Small group tour was worth the extra cost. Loading/unloading at stops was much quicker and efficient than a large group on a large bus. Driver/guide (Gina) was interesting and had time to interact with individuals. Her driving around Wellington's narrow streets and sharp turns was impressive. WETA workshop is so informative. The lunch was real food, not sandwiches and chips.

What an excellent day! We totally lucked out having Marc as our guide. He had so many interesting and funny stories from his time working on the films that really added to the experience. Visited so many places and WETA workshop was awesome to see behind the scenes.

Nice tour of filming sites around Wellington for the LOTR. Nice buffet lunch; although the vegan option looked especially delicious, and I would have preferred the fruit salad dessert to the pastry tray offered to the non-vegan diners. I wish more time was built into the stop at Weta Cave. Most of the time was spent waiting in line for bathrooms. Would not have done that since bathrooms were available at the next stop --Weta Workshop. Our tour guide Hamish was excellent --very knowledgeable about LOTR, filming, and general NZ topics. He even led us on a brief nature walk. The walk was not directly tied to LOTR, but it was a nice added bonus. I was very happy with the tour and would highly recommend it.

Great way to see many of the details behind the making of the Lord of the Rings movies. Our tour guide, Dixie, was extremely enthusiastic about history behind the movies, and it was enjoyable to listen to many of the behind the scenes stories. Visiting the studio was great, as was seeing many of the sites where scenes were filmed. Overall, a great way to spend the day.
