Kocho Preparation in Wenchi Village, Ethiopia What is Kocho? Kocho is a thick, slightly sour flatbread made from the pulp of the enset plant (Ensete ventricosum), a drought-resistant plant widely grown in Ethiopia. It is an important staple food, often eaten with kitfo (minced raw meat), ayib (cottage cheese), or gomen (collard greens). Wenchi Village can experience kocho-making firsthand, from harvesting enset to tasting the final dish, while exploring the natural beauty of the Wenchi Crater Lake. Please note: This experience is organized for groups of 4 or more people.

5.00Lake Wonchi is a must-visit! The scenery is stunning, with clear water, green hills, and fresh air. I enjoyed the boat ride and exploring the area. Golan Tours Ethiopia made everything easy and fun. The guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. I had a great time and highly recommend this tour!
