Valley of the Kings
Visit the Valley of the Kings, also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings. This iconic site served as the royal burial ground for nearly 500 years during the New Kingdom period, from the Eighteenth to the Twentieth Dynasties. Carved into the cliffs of a desert wadi on the west bank of the Nile—directly across from ancient Thebes (modern-day Luxor)—this sacred valley is the final resting place of pharaohs and powerful nobles. Nestled within the Theban Necropolis, the Valley is home to some of the most beautifully decorated tombs in Egypt, showcasing intricate wall paintings and hieroglyphs that have survived thousands of years.

5.00Our experience began with the Nasco tour operator, Mohammed in the Hilton hotel. He was efficient, friendly and helped us to plan our trip successfully. This was followed by an amazing private guided tour of Luxor with Ghada. She was knowledgeable, engaging, friendly and passionate about her job. We would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Luxor. One of the best tour guides we’ve ever had!

5.00We were assisted by Mohammed Anwar in booking our trip. He booked everything for us at an incredibly affordable price and made sure we felt comfortable and happy at every step of the process. When we got very sick the night before the original trip, we texted him at 4AM to try and rearrange and he immediately was up helping us sort it out. He then gave us a very clear set of options to ensure we still were able to enjoy our visit to the max. Without him, we wouldn’t have had the fantastic experience we did and we highly recommend him to help you organise your excursions. The excursions themselves were also exceptional. We had a half day visiting the West Bank and then a hot air balloon ride over Luxor. My partner and I are both keen historians, especially with Egyptian history, and the guide that came with us on the half day - Ahmed - gave us not only a very comprehensive overview of the sites, but was also a wonderful storyteller and incredibly knowledgeable, so we came away with all of our questions answered. We had a very comfortable car, with excellent AC and they provided water for us throughout the trip, much needed as 40° heat on the edge of the Sahara Desert is hard to deal with, especially when you’re used to English weather… I would advise that you listen to their timings as we arrived at The Valley of the Kings at around 7.45AM and by 8AM we were sweltering in the tombs, which get incredibly hot very quickly. In our ~5-hour tour we visited: The Valley of the Kings (the 3 open temples and Tutankhamun’s tomb which you have to buy as an extra), Hatshepsut’s Temple, The Memnon Statues, The Valley of the Nobles, and The Habu Temple of Rameses III. Each one was incredible in its own sense, but our winner was definitely the tomb of Rameses IV; it had so much humanity and beauty, and we were quite overcome with how amazing it was. We both highly recommend that you not only use this company but let them guide your experience as we visited sites and tried things we didn’t even know we could. The hot air balloon flight was a magical experience and the 4AM wake up meant we could seize the day and visit lots of temples before the heat really got up. 10/10 5 stars

5.00We booked with these guys downstairs of Hilton Luxor, after our existing operator was a nightmare to deal with. Confirmed our trip for 9am start at 930pm the night before. Car quality was one of the best we have seen since landing into Egypt. Guide was professional - gave us plenty of guidance but also gave us space when we wanted it. Didn’t try to upsell much. Most enjoyable day with a wonderful team. Thank you for showing us the West Bank of luxor

5.00Book this tour!! It was absolutely wonderful. We did the full day tour of Luxor valley of the kings, temple of Hatshepsut, and Karnak temple. Our guide, Nermeen (aka Nana), was the BEST!! She is so friendly and she knows everything about Egyptian history. She told us many stories of ancient Egypt and answered all of our questions. I highly recommended this tour. The van is nice, with air conditioning. Nermeen chose a delicious place to stop for lunch. My family and I enjoyed this trip very much and absolutely recommend to everyone when you visit Luxor. Look no further, book this tour! Ask for Nermeen, she is wonderful.

5.00Mr. Abanoub was very patient when making our booking. He answered all of our questions and helped us choose the perfect day tour for us. 5/5 service. The tour guide (Mr. Raymond) and driver did everything they were required to do (i.e. take us to each destination in an A/C vehicle, give us brief descriptions, etc). They did no more, no less. We were very happy that they did not rush us. We love taking our time and they allowed us to do so. 4/5 service.
