Valley of the Kings
Visit the Valley of the Kings, also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings. This iconic site served as the royal burial ground for nearly 500 years during the New Kingdom period, from the Eighteenth to the Twentieth Dynasties. Carved into the cliffs of a desert wadi on the west bank of the Nile—directly across from ancient Thebes (modern-day Luxor)—this sacred valley is the final resting place of pharaohs and powerful nobles. Nestled within the Theban Necropolis, the Valley is home to some of the most beautifully decorated tombs in Egypt, showcasing intricate wall paintings and hieroglyphs that have survived thousands of years.

5.00I had the pleasure of touring the Valley of the kings in Luxor with Nasco Tours and my personal tour guide Fatima. The whole experience was wonderful, from being collected from my hotel in an air-conditioned car, to having a very insightful tour of the Valley of the kings, and the temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Fatima my tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and warm. She was very patient, and had a great energy and personality. If you ever tour Luxor, and tour its historical sites. I would highly recommend you choose Nasco Tours, and Fatima as your personal guide.

5.00We had a perfect experience with our guide(Ghada) and our driver(Ahmed). Everything went so smooth, and Ghada had a lot of experience in guiding, so we really felt like we learned a lot. It was so convenient that she knew everything about how and what we should do to get most out of our time. We visited Valley of the kings, Hatshepsuts temple, a quick stop at Colossi of Memnon, had a great lunch at Africa restaurant, did a bloat trip to cross the river of Nile, before we finished our trip at the Karnak temple. I would definitely recommend doing this trip with Ghada and Ahmed, for convenience, learning about the great history and for having a great time.

5.00We booked EVERYTHING through NASCO, as they were located in the Luxor Hilton Hotel my wife and I stayed at. The services included a private transport from our hotel in Hurghada to Luxor, private Half Day Tour of the West Bank, private sunset Felucca cruise (1hr), private half day tour of the East Bank temples in Luxor, and a hot air balloon sunrise experience. It was all seamless, educational, fun, and friendly. Our guide for the Luxor tours (East and West Banks) was Ghada, and she was truly exceptional. We will 100% book with her again in the future, her passion for the history, and pride in Egyptian culture made the tours special and personal. By the end, it felt like we were being shown the city of Luxor by an old friend. NASCO shows their experience by keeping the car cool, with fresh cold bottled water waiting at the end of each stop. Each destination is planned in accordance with when you should be there to navigate crowds, temperatures, and lighting. My favorite stops flip flop every time I think of them, so I’d recommend doing it all. We added the Valley of the Queens and Medinet Habu Temple to our half day West Bank tour and would do it again. 10/10. Absolutely loved the whole experience, and can’t wait to book another tour with Ghada and NASCO.

5.00My husband and I had a wonderful several days in Luxor, in no small part to the attentive services of NASCO tours and our tour guide Ghada in particular. We traveled via car from Hurghada to Luxor and toured the West Bank highlights one day and the Karnak and Luxor temples the next day. Despite the fact that we booked these services a la carte, NASCO arranged for the same driver and guide to be with us the entire time allowing for a truly comfortable and intimate experience. Our guide Ghada was a pro and she guided us through the sights with the warmth and mastery of your favorite professor, both reveling in the dramatic stories of the past while also quizzing you on the most important knowledge to connect the history to what you are seeing in front of you. We learned so much from her and couldn’t recommend her enough! We also booked a hot air balloon ride, a sunset felucca boat ride and our ride to their airport through NASCO - there was no detail too small for them to help us with! Kamal was our driver for the entire trip and he was efficient and helpful. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back!

5.00We requested a guide that spoke a very good level of English and was very knowledgeable. Ghada is 22 years licensed and was both of the above and more. She has a great sense of humour and is relaxed while keeping you on point with such a complex subject. She is also more than willing to start very early in the morning which is essential as the heat is intense and the sites are so much more enjoyable with fewer fellow tourists. You may not end up being en Egyptologist but you will learn a great deal. Thankyou Ghada😘

5.00We had several days in Luxor and booked through the hotel. Nasco tours sent us Ahmed- very knowledgeable, kind and funny. He made us (my sister in law and I traveling together) feel very safe and provided us with excellent experiences!!!
