Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 10 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.

AM Horseback ride is a 2-hour ride that goes gradually up the mountainside to view the waterfalls (seasonal) in the valley from a distance. Then ride down the mountainside all the way to the ocean where you will ride along the coastline (not white sand beach.) There is also an area you are allowed to trot or canter (weather permitting).

5.00We had a great time with Richard & Ki. They were fun and informative. They made sure to engage with everyone in our group and really create a personal experience. The ride itself was amazing, the horses are obviously well cared for. Spirited animals ready for some fun! We even had an opportunity to kick up the pace towards the end, for those who felt comfortable. Not at all the usual glue factory escapees that I’ve seen in other places. The owner obviously cares about her herd. We started in the hills and went all the way down to the water. We had multiple opportunities for group pictures. Richard is a good photographer & knows the stops with beautiful backdrops to make great photos. I would highly recommend this trip to others. Thank you.

5.00The horseback riding was amazing. The horses (+ the other animals roaming around) were well taken care of & handled amazingly well - especially with different degrees of riding experience. The guides (Kye & Sierra) were amazing, friendly & knowledgeable. And amazing views!

5.00I travelled with a large party (7 - 4 adults and 3 children) and Maui Mountain Activities was wonderfully helpful and accommodating for us (thank you so much Brandy). My group and I had a wonderful time on trail. Our guides, Kai and Cole, were welcoming and made us feel safe on horseback - our group was all beginning level riders. The horses were beautiful and well cared for. Each had their own personality and a lot of effort and care was put into matching each horse to the rider. With each step of the day we got clear and easy to follow instructions that allowed us to be comfortable in the experience - from the initial meeting place, driving up to the stables, the ride itself, and then driving from the stables back to the road. We would absolutely do this ride again in the future (in fact, for a few of us this was our second time already). Thank you so much again to Maui Mountain Activities and I cannot recommend this activity highly enough!
