During your whale-watching cruise, learn fascinating details about all types of California sea life from the onboard naturalist with the beautiful coastal scenery of Newport Beach & Laguna Beach as backdrop. Year-round whale-watching cruises like this one are rare, so don’t miss this chance to see giant blue, finback, grey, minke and humpback whales. Over half dozen different types of dolphin including giant Risso Dolphin at over 12 feet in length, white sided dolphin, bottlenose dolphin, and common dolphin. See super pods of dolphin sometimes numbering over 1000 dolphin strong.
The luxury option includes a spacious yacht with numerous features including 360 degree walk around deck, a lower passenger count and greater speeds for going the distance to see mammals.

We have the potential of viewing giant blue whales, finback whales, gray whales, minke whales, common dolphin, bottlenose dolphin and many more in their natural habitat! With one the largest marine protected parks just outside of Newport Bay, whales and dolphin of all types can be viewed as soon as you leave the bay. Once you check in to receive your boarding pass and board our vessels, you will have a 15-minute cruise through our beautiful Newport Harbor viewing multi-million-dollar mansions along the harbor coastline as well. Also, during this time, feel free to head to the galley to purchase the beverage of your choice (cocktails, beer, wine, soda or water). Once we hit the open ocean, we will be in search for wildlife of all kinds (sharks included)! Choose a seat inside our galley area or outside for the best views!

Trip very nice, but Tripadvisor Refuses to refund me due to Duplicate Booking caused by their failure to send email

5.00I double booked through Trip Advisor because they didn’t send me the email for the first reservation. Then when I went to cancel it after realizing the double booking, it said 100% no cancellation only at that point. I did not know there was 100% penalty for a double booking. The fault of the double booking was Tripadvisors for not sending me the confirmation email. I feel cheated by TripAdvisor for their mistake that cost me of money. I am very surprised by Tripadvisor’s DISHONEST business practices. The Whale watching trip was nice, but not nice enough to pay for it twice. I want a refund for my Duplicate Booking. That is only fair, especially since it was caused by Tripadvisor’s error.
Good trip, interesting sea life. Would go again.

Fun but no luxury

4.00“Luxury” is a bit of a stretch here. We even booked with “11 spaces available” so we’re expecting surely a smaller crowd but it was pretty packed and had to stand the entire 2 hours or be sardined in. Besides the kids we were the younger part of the crowd and didn’t want to have someone else stand up anyway. Incidentally because we stood the whole way out there we got the best viewing spot out of the entire boat. We did see 4 or 5 whales though which was the main point of the trip! Lots of dolphins too. We always love a boat excursion and it was a convenient thing to book last minute to kill time before dinner. Happy we did it but it’s no frills type of event (again, luxury?). Had fun, the captains gave interesting facts but over other excursions wouldn’t necessarily recommend this one over other whale watching if you’re debating between this and a cheaper option.

5.00I very much enjoyed the whale watching tour! We got to see a pod of playful dolphins, 3 active Fin whales, and a bunch of sleeping sea lions. The crew was professional, and they went over the safety information very well. Sailing was smooth and comfortable.

4.00Spring to fall is the right time for whale & dolphin watching. The captain & crew were courteous & knowledgeable. We spotted fin whale, dolphin & moya-moya. She explained about these species. It was interesting. She steered the boat smoothly. My family members sometimes get sea sickness if boat wobbles in the choppy waters. Fortunately we did not experience bad weather and it was an ideal trip. Ofcourse it is a hit or miss because sometimes the species doesn’t show up. Besides if there’s food available in the region, then only these species stay. Otherwise they move out to some other place in search of food. If your luck is good you can spot a few species. Recommend this tour operator.
