It was a fascinating experience. Soon after we headed out to the Strait of Georgia, we were able to see a mother humpback with her calf. They popped up at least 7 to 8 times to breathe. Then we went on to see sea lions and a bold eagle. Both the nature guide and the boat captain did a great job to track the whales. The guide did an excellent job in explaining to us the nature of the animals.

Too much hype of advertising orcas available around Vancouver island in which the your my partner and took we only got to see a humpback whale and calf at a distance of over 100 yards and manage to see once to four times coming up for air. Big disappointment on my behalf to spend huge money for nothing.

We saw a lot of great whale activity, our grandson had a great time. Keep in mind there is a limit to how close you can get but we got to see 2 humpbacks breaching and show their tails and fins. The staff was very personable and the boat was clean. They gave me and extra jacket which I was glad to have on the way out but it warmed up and the weather was beautiful.
