Our day in Whistler and a tour with Ryan : whistler Sightseeing Tour. We were pick up on time, greeted by Ryan who was very personable and friendly, We were taken to many sites and he gave us an understanding of the history of the district. We had a great time and we would recommend Ryan and the business to anyone who wants an exceptional experience. Ryan’s local knowledge was excellent he gave us tips on the village, eating places, what to do and how to navigate the district in winter or spring. Very informative and very helpful for our first time visit. Thank you Ryan 😊

Our 1st day (week of US Thanksgiving 2025) The Whistler Visitors Center steered us to Whistler Valley Tours and that was the best advice for 1st time visitors. Smaller groups and feels like personal experience. My wife and I don't ski and really wanted to see the Village highlights along with the long history way before the Olympics brought its amazing spotlight to the area. Ryan was our Guide/Historian/driver. Ryan expanded on what living in Whistler is like, and important facts of a small town. Its not just about skiing/although beautiful mountains and lakes. Ryan also took us to the Olympic Bobsled Track and Wow! We took Ryan's advice and went back to the course while they were training. History with breath taking views. If you like, this tour is a must! Best Bang for your Buck. DonCynthia L

We had a great experience on this tour. What a feeling to be in the center of where the Olympics were held, and to see some real athletes training on the bobsled while we were there. Ryan is a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. It was worth every penny!

A great tour - learnt so much about Whistler’s history from the homestead era, 2010 Olympics thru’ to the present day. A great way to explore the area in a small comfortable bus with an interesting, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly guide.

This is a really great tour to do at the start of a visit to Whistler. Ryan was an amazing guide, striking a good balance between useful information, historical background, and highlights for visitors. His commentary on the 2010 Olympics was particularly enjoyable. We visited lots of spots which would not have been easy to get to on our own, if we’d even known about them in the first place. If you want a tour of Whistler that takes you beyond the shops and ski slopes then this is the tour for you.

Whistler Valley Tours runs local tours of the Whistler area with small groups. This made the experience so much more enjoyable than being one of thirty or forty people. Ryan, our driver and the proprietor was a superb host. He made the tour a very personalised experience and shared his deep and passionate knowledge of his hometown with great enthusiasm. Whistler was a delight - a little bit of the European Alpine scene in its layout; the weather was perfect and the Whistler Sliding Centre gave a fascinating insight into some of the Winter Olympics most hair raising sports. Next time perhaps I'll give it a go!

Ryan absolutely made the tour. He was knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely enthusiastic, weaving together stories of Whistler’s past, its Indigenous roots, and its transformation through the 2010 Winter Olympics. His commentary felt thoughtful rather than scripted, and he was excellent at pointing out details you’d otherwise drive right past. He also gave plenty of time for photos and questions, which made the experience feel relaxed and personal. One of the tour’s strengths is how clearly it connects Whistler to its Olympic legacy. Ryan identified and explained the significance of several key 2010 Winter Olympic venues and their relationship to their historical underpinnings. Hightlights included: Whistler Sliding Centre Site of bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton events — a striking and memorable legacy of the Games. Whistler Olympic Park (Callaghan Valley) Home to cross-country skiing, biathlon, Nordic combined, and ski jumping during the 2010 Olympics. Olympic Village / Whistler Village Area Discussion of how the Games reshaped infrastructure, global awareness, and Whistler’s year-round identity. Olympic Legacy Landmarks & Rings Along the route, Ryan pointed out Olympic symbols and legacy features that remain part of Whistler today. While this is a sightseeing tour rather than a deep-dive venue tour, the context and storytelling bring the Olympic sites to life, making you appreciate what you’re seeing. Top it off with Rainbow Lake / Alta Lake & Rainbow Park – a peaceful highlight with beautiful views and insight into Whistler’s early homestead era. If you don't think Myrtle Philip rocks after this, you don't get pioneers!
