  Had an amazing time on this tour, despite the bad weather, Jett, Jordi and Matilda made sure everyone was having fun and the atmosphere was great - would highly recommend to anyone staying in Airlie

• Overpriced and Impersonal – Wouldn’t Recommend

  I wouldn’t recommend this tour, especially given the high price. From the start, the experience felt impersonal and poorly managed. Before boarding, we were told that if we sat at the front we’d get very wet and essentially just had to “suck it up.” Unfortunately, because of the boarding order, we ended up at the front with no real choice. There was also no proper warning ahead of time about how choppy the conditions would be or the likelihood of sea sickness. By the time they mentioned that those prone to feeling unwell should sit at the back, everyone was already lined up and naturally taking the “better” seats—so it was too late. The whole day felt very robotic, and there was little effort made to connect with guests. We didn’t get to know the guides at all, and they didn’t create a welcoming or reassuring atmosphere. The boat itself was much smaller than expected, which again wasn’t communicated in advance. At one point, we were taken through something they called “the washing machine,” which was treated as a fun thrill, but there was no acknowledgment that some people might find extremely rough conditions uncomfortable or even distressing. Lunch was also disappointing. The vegetarian option was clearly an afterthought—essentially just the standard meal with the meat removed, leaving a small amount of cheese, salad, and a bread roll, with no real effort to provide a proper alternative. We also spent far too long at Whitehaven Beach, which made parts of the day feel poorly balanced. As someone snorkeling for the first time, I didn’t feel particularly reassured or supported by the guides, which made the experience more stressful than enjoyable. Overall, I could have overlooked some of these issues if the tour had been reasonably priced—but given how expensive it was, it simply didn’t feel worth it. There are plenty of other companies in the area that likely offer a more thoughtful and enjoyable experience, so I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere and booking in advance. Unfortunately, with this company, you really do feel like just a number.

  Awesome experience. Was a really lovely day when we went (luckily). The tour guides (Shaun and Vicky) were very knowledgeable, fun and friendly and seemed to really enjoy their jobs! Everything was well explained (how to operate a Snorkel etc) and they gave us some insight into the reefs and the history of the Whitsundays. The tour was perfectly put together, snorkel spots were awesome and a perfect length of time at them. At Whitehaven, it was a perfect mix of freedom and safety. The boat ride was a lot of fun: because it was quite windy the boat jumped up quite a lot which really added to the experience (Shaun called it ‘adventure tourism’) The food was genuinely pretty good and they also served some nice snacks. The weather was great for us, but be wary because the weather can be pretty hit and miss, especially during the wet season. Definitely recommend this as we really enjoyed our tour!

  Highlight was the number of fish attracted by their licensed feeding at our snorkel site. Also, I’ve been around boats for long enough to recognise an outstanding skipper when I see one - Shannon was a true talent. She really knows how to handle a boat. On the down side the crew insisted on having windows open despite the repeated splattering of sea spray blowing in. They claimed it would get hot inside if they didn’t do this, but really that would only be true if we were not moving. As it was, we were underway at 50km/h. The front hatches and the open rear would certainly have been enough to maintain a stiff breeze blowing down the length of the boat. The music was only coming out of one speaker which we were seated next to, and which was TOO LOUD as it had to be for others not seated next to it to hear the music. There were no fins provided - much harder to snorkel without them. Overall, we had a good time but not as good as the time we had on the Viper two days prior.

  Trip was so good! Manta Ray Bay was the best and the Whitehaven Beach Experience. Red Cat Staff, Bo and Vicky were the best! However, it's just sad that other tourists just dont care about the corals!! Really mad when that old person proudly saying and ahouting to his wife "Im standing on it! Can't help it! It's hard not to!" If you dont know how to do water activities properly, PLEASE DON'T!!! What a selfish moron. They want their eyes to be the final pair to see the beauty of the underwater imo. 🤦‍♀️

  Where to even begin! My friends and I had the best day!! The weather wasn’t exactly on our side, but it didn’t even matter because Savannah and Carlos made sure it was still an absolutely epic day. The boat ride out was great. Sav had the best playlist going, and before we knew it my friends and I were deep into an impromptu karaoke session. Carlos led us on a short hike around Whitehaven Beach before turning us loose for a few hours. Despite the gloominess, it was beautiful! Snorkelling itself was amazing. We went to two different spots and the water was perfect! The marine life was so diverse and so pretty. Both Carlos and Sav were super knowledgeable about the coral and fish, which made it even more interesting. Also have to shout out the catering, so good! The ride back was even better. The playlist somehow got even better so naturally the karaoke came back. The water was choppy in the best way and it felt like a bit of a theme park ride on the way home. Best birthday cruise ever! And an extra shoutout to Sav and Carlos. They were both so lovely and just genuinely fun to be around. Plenty of laughs and they kept everything running smoothly making sure we all got back to the boat in one piece. Always reassuring to know you’re in good hands out there and we had the best.

  This is a great day out beautiful scenery and great snorkeling spots. The crew Jet, Jordi and Matilda did a great job looking after us. A great option if you only have a short time in Airlie .

  Wonderful itinerary, fantastic scenery. Boat trip was good fun. Snorkelling was just beautiful, many many different fish, big and small. The food could be better, underwhelming. Our guide Carlos was nice but not a tour guide. He only explained practicalities. Not much back ground info. Skipper was great.)
