The three-time Australian Gold Award-winning tour visits the world-famous Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet lookout and offers two snorkelling opportunities on the fringing Great Barrier Reef.
Thundercat is designed for stability and speed, so it’s perfect for passengers concerned about seasickness. The all-inclusive package departing from Airlie Beach is suitable for families, couples, and groups wanting to experience once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Set sail for a day of swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing in the Whitsundays on this full-day tour with Red Cat Adventures. Cruise around the islands on Thunder Cat, a high-speed catamaran, and discover the colorful underwater world of the UNESCO-listed Great Barrier Reef as you stop at two snorkeling hotspots. You will cruise at high speeds to Hill Inlet Lookout and take the famous walk to the lookout for stunning views of Whitehaven Beach. After taking some magical photos you can enjoy some beach time and dip your toes in the crystal clear water.

5.00Great day out on the thundercat visiting Whitehaven beach and snorkelling around the Whitsundays. Highly recommend this tour over a very similar company, after seeing both companies boats I think the thundercat would definitely be a more comfortable boat. The staff were so welcoming and fun. Great tunes and food provided throughout the day. The only fault was shuttle service after the tour was extremely slow to get picked up. Had a great day overall.

5.00From start to finish, this was an amazing tour! Our tour guides were Shannon, Rosie, and Pearl and they were all wonderful! Our daughter had incurred a knee injury just a couple days prior to our vacation and was in a heavy duty brace with some limited mobility. All 3 guides, especially Pearl, went out of their way to make sure my daughter still had the best experience possible. The food was great, the snorkeling was incredible, and getting to see beautiful Whitehaven Beach was the icing on the cake! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting this beautiful area!

5.00My 2 daughters and I went on a Thundercat Snorkelling and Whitehaven adventure. It was the highlight of our holiday, exciting and fun. The snorkelling was amazing, visited 2 reefs around Hook Island followed by iconic Whitehaven Beach and lookout. Rosie was our master reef guide for the day. She was couldn't have done a better job! Her knowledge, organisation and care for every single person aboard. She even gave one of my kids the hoodie she was wearing when she got cold after snorkelling. Make sure to pack your jumpers, the boat goes fast!

5.00This was such a great day trip to the Whitsundays, incorporating the best snorkelling ever, and a sublime visit to Whitehaven beach. Arden, Sam, & Maddy on Thundercat 2 put everyone at ease and created a fun atmosphere on the boat. The two snorkelling stops were very well arranged and seeing so many colourful fish, large & small and such beautiful coral was incredible. The visit to Whitehaven beach was equally as good with plenty of time to visit the viewpoint and then swim afterwards. We had a calm day so the boat ride over and back was relatively smooth.

3.00This was our first visit to Whitehaven beach, must note that in windy day the trip can can really rough and prepared to get wet. We experience the whole trip in windy & over cast and everything got wet. The snorkeling can get very tire, you will be swimming in the ocean and the wave can get rough. other than that it is general good experience/visit.

5.00The day was great and it is a beautiful place. Red Cat Adventures made sure to provide us with a great time. Although I felt people on the same boat didn't quite know what did they sign up for. It is a speed boad - so it is a thrilling, bumpy and windy adventure. - The captain had a proper pirate laugh and bit crazy which made the day quite funny and kept the energy up. Great spots to snorkel and the beach looks amazing. We just wish we had a little bit more time at the beach at the end of the tour.
Fantastic day out highly recommended.

5.00Had a great day out with a very friendly crew. We set off on time and then shot across to the first stop on one of the fast boats. Was nice that we got to walk to the beach ourselves because lots of other groups were being herded around in a crowd on Whitsunday Island for the lookout. Lunch was delicious and it was nice we got to have this in the bay at anchor before setting off on the next part of the trip. Got to go to 2 different snorkelling spots and saw some amazing coral and sea life. Crew had cold filtered water available throughout the day on board for anyone who needed to fill up their water bottle. There was also a toilet on board although it sounded pretty primitive so we didn’t use it! Really recommend this tour, good way to spend the time around here.

5.00Shawn and Flynn did a Great Job, but it was Kobis enthusiasm and energy which really stood out. Great spots, great food, great experience.
