The Ultimate Session is unique in the UK, offering continuous world-class rapids, with almost no flat water between! A dam release guarantees the quality and constancy of rapids. (Other UK rivers cannot promise this due to unpredictable British weather!)

Your adventure will start and end at our riverside centre with thick 4-season wetsuits and full safety equipment allocation. After a quick instructional session, we will bus you to the head of the river where a massive 9 cumecs of pure mountain water begins it's cascade through ancient woodland.

This is the country's best whitewater rafting, staffed by guides with international experience. Over 3 descents you will play, freestyle and surf down fast, clean whitewater, each run increasing in excitement and challenge.

A spectacular choice for a rainy day activity, the weather cannot soak you more than we will! On a hot day, nothing feels fresher than punching through rapid after rapid.

This is a truly wild day out!

We had a great time, in spite of the freezing conditions and chilly water, the instructors George and Morgan kept us having a great time. The Tryweryn conditions were brilliant as usual and we got suitably trashed and soaked, but adults and children loved it!

Took my college group of students (age 17-19) here to go canyoning last autumn and white water rafting this week and they absolutely loved it! The bookings team were helpful and informative, and our guides were all fantastic, my students were absolutely buzzing after both activities and now want to be guides themselves! Thanks so much we will definitely be recommending the National White Water Centre!

⸻ We had an amazing day yesterday at the National White Water Centre, it was so much fun! Every member of the team was incredibly helpful — nothing was too much trouble. Our guides, Matt and Emily, were outstanding. They broughta lot energy and expertise to the session and really went the extra mile to create an unforgettable adventure for me and my teenage children. We felt completely safe throughout, thanks to their clear, confident instruction. We’ll definitely be returning — though maybe not in February next time! 🥶

Despite it being very very cold we were provided with suitable attire to keep us warm enough to enjoy the session which was great fun. Would highly recommend if you are looking for some excitement for a couple of hours. Visited 18th Feb. There are suitable showers and lockers and a little Cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks

This was a fantastic experience for our son’s 16th Birthday! Reece was our guide and he was amazing! He ensured we felt ready to brave the cold weather with all the correct gear, enjoyed the rapids and shared the history of the area. Reece was attentive to both our son and daughter and it made it all the more enjoyable! Would highly recommend!!!

Absolutely fabulous experience made better by having a fantastic guide called Rhys. Felt very safe & the water wasn’t nearly as cold as I was expecting! Rhys was really patient with us older ladies, bless him 😅

Great experience. Loads of fun with all great kit to use. 3 x 15 mins runs over 2 hours was just the right amount of time to be on the river in October!
