This special tour does not follow any set route. Nor does it follow a time table.
Use your time wisely by going into the wilderness to see wildlife and view glaciers. Summer only: an option, on a 80 ft. cruise ship. (available 11am departure only and May 15 - Sep 15)
We follow the sun, the wind and our hearts to navigate your vacation towards the most scenic locations capable for the day of your tour.
The Wilderness Wildlife Glacier Experience includes entrance into the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. During summer you'll have an option to include a glacier cruise on the mv Ptarmigan.
Learn about our rich history and see the Ring of Glaciers. This award winning tour can not be replicated by any other service or shuttle.
The Wilderness Wildlife Glacier Experience offers highly trained Guides who's sole purpose is making your vacation memories last a lifetime.

Wilderness Wildlife Glacier: WEEKDAY & WEEKEND: Sightseeing tour outside the city limits of Anchorage. hour day tour into the wilderness, see wildlife, view glaciers and walk on Alaskan Alpine Meadows.
With 1hr Glacier Cruise
Summer Only Glacier Cruise: Experience Portage Glacier up close on the MSS Ptarmigan. A one hour excursion on the 80-foot ship.
Duration: 6 hours: Departs at 11am. Dena'ina Convention Center. 700 W 7th Ave. We meet 10 minutes before departure.
1 Hour Glacier Confirmation: 1 Hour Glacier Cruise Confirmation will be sent by tour Operator, PicTours Alaska, Inc. shortly after this message.

5.00A lot of beautiful photo stops on our way to the wildlife conservation center. Was super icy and cloudy on the morning but got much more sun in the afternoon and the view was even more amazing. Our guide Philip was a great driver!

5.00Our guide was Holly, and she was amazing! I had the tour with my mom and two aunties who were visiting me from S.Korea. They were kept saying that Holly is sweet and friendly. Also Holly is very knowledgeable and informative about the Alaska and Anchorage. It was very blessed time for me and my family. Thank you Holly!

5.00Our guide Holly was awesome! She was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and I learned so much about Alaska’s wildlife through her explanations. The visit to the conservation center was a lot of fun, and I was especially excited to see the adorable bison jumping around! I would highly recommend this trip, especially if you don’t plan to rent a car during your time in Anchorage.

Our guide, Holly, was truly exceptional- she brought such warm, positive energy to the day, was incredibly knowledgeable, and showed so much kindness throughout the entire trip. We were amazed by how much wildlife we were able to see, and Holly made the experience even more memorable by navigating the area beautifully and taking us to all the best spots. As first-time visitors to Alaska, we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. This tour exceeded our expectations in every way, and Holly was a huge part of what made it so special.

4.00We had a great day out with Philip. There was only 3 of us on the tour, so we were able to be bit flexible in regard to time spent. Most of the time was spend the Alaskan Conservation Centre where we saw lots of Alaskan wildlife up close. Philip explain lots about the local wildlife we were seeing and also the surrounding areas. Philip also gave us some great advice on what to do on our other days and what the driving conditions may be like

5.00I’m glad I joined this tour. Our guide Hunter was really good! He was fun, knowledgeable and nice. He taught us how to take good selfies and waterfalls, which was helpful! We were able to see the beautiful mountains and animals up close. Walking in the rain was memorable, too. The tour begin not too early and ends not too late so that we were able to have dinner when we returned. I would recommend this tour when you have a day in Anchorage.
