Use your time wisely by going into the wilderness to see wildlife and view glaciers. Summer only: an option, on a 80 ft. cruise ship. (available 11am departure only and May 15 - Sep 15)

The Wilderness Wildlife Glacier Experience includes entrance into the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. During summer you'll have an option to include a glacier cruise on the mv Ptarmigan.
Learn about our rich history and see the Ring of Glaciers. This award winning tour can not be replicated by any other service or shuttle.
The Wilderness Wildlife Glacier Experience offers highly trained Guides who's sole purpose is making your vacation memories last a lifetime.

Duration: 6 hours: Departs at 11am. Dena'ina Convention Center. 700 W 7th Ave. We meet 10 minutes before departure.

5.00This is a great option for solo travelers. Our guide, Philip, was fantastic. We got a lot of great pictures even on a cloudy, rainy day. Very informative and fun. Highly recommended.

4.00Out tour guide was great, but it really is hit or miss on what we're able to see. If I were to do this again I'd just do the wildlife preserve and tack on the Anchorage zoo.

5.00This was a fantastic experience! Hunter, our guide, was so knowledgeable, but also fun and easy-going. He made it a great day in Alaska I learned a lot, got some amazing photos, and made some really good memories.

5.00Hunter was a fantastic tour guide! Really enjoyed the coastal drive, and he pointed out six glaciers on the way. Enjoyed seeing the wildlife so well cared for. The highlight was walking upon the frozen lake with mountains all around. Sunny, breezy day made for a trip. I’ll never forget!

4.00Was nice to finally see glaciers and wild life reserve was fun. This s the only way to get 3 foot from Moose safely. Also; appreciate helping out the animals in need.

5.00Very nice experience with my wife and Toddler in March 2026. Philip was very professional and gave us a nice tour of the wildlife center and the glaciers during the day. He shared some nice close up pics of the animals and also described the places we visited as a tour guide. We were lucky to see the bears in the center outside relaxing in the snow during our visit.

5.00We had a wonderful way to end our Alaska vacation. We had a day left in Anchorage. On previous nights we had taken in a trip to the Arctic Circke and also watched an amazing Northern Lights show, one thing we did not get to see was wildlife and this trip to the Alaska Wildlife Conservatiob Center totally made up for it, our guide Phillip was a very capable, photographer and patient guide who answered all our questions and more. We were delighted to see the brown bears and grizzly bear romping in the snow and saw moose, wood bison, caribou, reindeer, attic fox, a Hudson Bay wolf, Coyote, Canadian Lynx and porcupine among others. The trip to the Portage glacier was simply too magnificent, we walked on the frozen portage lane and marveled at the beautiful glacier, Phillip even took us to Girdwood on a detour to spot sone moose, All in all, it was a wonderful, sunny day to soak in the grandeur of Alaska
