Windmill Lane Recording Studios have been capturing music history since 1978. The list of artists the studios have worked with includes Kate Bush, U2, The Cranberries, The Rolling Stones, Hozier, Lady Gaga & Westlife.
The Visitor Experience tour is an unprecedented opportunity to step beyond the studios famous metal doors and receive an exclusive, immersive and highly memorable experience. Please note, Windmill Lane Recording Studios is a working recording studio so advanced booking is essential.

Definitely worth the tour, fun and educational

5.00This was a really interesting tour where we learned about how the albums are recorded, mixing desks and how sound effects are developed. I was with colleagues but will definitely be bringing the kids as I think they would love it, So interesting especially for someone interested in music. Lots of famous bands through the doors too and an insight to the music industry and how things work.

5.00Our tour experience with Maria was absolutely fabulous! She was full of knowledge, very approachable, and made us feel so welcome to be there. I would certainly reccommend this tour for anyone who loves music and wants to see how all the great masterpieces have come about.

1.00I am sorry to say this, but my partner and I believe this studio tour was disappointing and very poor value for money. Maybe our expectations were too high and we hoped for much more. So let's put my comments into perspective. To visit the amazing Titanic Museum in Belfast costs £19.95 for an adult. You can spend all day at this museum and still not see everything there. The Windmill Lane tour costs €26.00 for an adult and it's all over in 50 minutes. With a bit of imagination, the owners could make the Windmill Lane Visitor Experience much more entertaining and enjoyable, considerably longer in time and not so pricey !!!

5.00My spouse is a decades-long U2 fan and couldn’t pass up a visit to your facility . I too enjoy U2 but was looking forward to touring a working recording studio. Needless to say, we both were impressed with the tour provided by Michael, a seasoned recording engineer who gave insight about Windmill that can’t be duplicated. The information provided to our group surpassed anything I expected from this tour. I highly recommend!

5.00One of the highlights of my visit to Dublin was the tour of the iconic Windmill Lane Recording Studios, where some of the world's most renowned artists like U2, The Rolling Stones, Kate Bush etc have recorded their music. As a journalist and music producer, hosting my own radio show on ERT3 in Thessaloniki, I found the experience particularly inspiring. Our guide, Michael, shared fascinating stories and insights that brought the studio’s rich history to life. Walking through the spaces where so many legendary recordings were created was a unique and unforgettable experience that deepened my appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship behind great music.
