Windsor Castle
The town of Windsor is best known for its historical links to the British royal family, and it is suitably steeped in pageantry and history. Towering over the rest of the town is Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the English and later British monarchy, and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years and is today one of the official residences of His Majesty The King. Occupying over 10.5 hectares, the Castle offers a varied day out for visitors, including a visit to the magnificent State Apartments and St George's Chapel. The Castle's State Apartments are furnished with some of the finest works from the Royal Collection, reflecting the changing tastes of the Castle's royal occupants, particularly those of Charles II and George IV. If you decide not to include admission to Windsor Castle, you will have free time in Windsor town.
St. George's Chapel
St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in England, is a chapel designed in the high-medieval Gothic style. It is both a Royal Peculiar, a church under the direct jurisdiction of the monarch, and the Chapel of the Order of the Garter. Seating approximately 800, it is located in the Lower Ward of the castle. (If option selected.)

Very enjoyable and thorough tour of each stop, despite relatively limited time. James (and Mentor, the driver) we're tremendous and exceptionally helpful dealing with mobility issues for a member of our group.

Quick overview of some of the most iconic places outside of London. Windsor Castle is amazing and the changing of guards a tradition not to missed in England.

Appreciated Phill guiding our group up to the entrance of the staterooms at Windsor Castle and to the stones at Stonehenge. We were given very clear guidance regarding how to best maximize our time and how to be efficient in seeing the highlights within our allotted time at these locations. Stonehenge had extremely long lines for the shuttle from the parking lot to the actual stones. We waited 40 minutes for the shuttle while the walk to the stones would have taken 30 minutes. Due to the heat, most didn’t want to walk it and didn’t anticipate it taking so long for a bus. Our tour guide, Phil said it was the longest he has ever experienced and was likely due to Stonehenge not putting limits on the number of visitors. At the end of the day, during a vote held on the bus for the favourite location visited that you would like to go back and explore more, the winner was Oxford. We had a walking tour around it, but didn’t go into any of the colleges or libraries, which would have needed a lot more time to explore. This tour took 12 hours round trip. It was a long day, but Phil was a great guide who made even the wait time enjoyable.
