  Randy was amazing very knowledgeable. It was a delightful experience. Before we arrived at the first vineyard he gave us a rundown on what to expect and facts about each vineyard. My experience with the vineyards we've been to was amazing the food was delicious and the wine was great. highly recommend

  There were nineteen of us on this particular wine tasting and lunch experience. Our host Jamie was extremely knowledgable and made the entire trip fun and entertaining. We enjoyed the wineries, although it heavily favours White Wines as that is majority of wines produced in this area. The lunch was delicious and plentiful. Altogether just a very fun experience.   Had an awesome wine tasting experience at 3 different but excellent wineries. Terri, our guide was fantastic! She explained everything in great detail and made the whole experience so much better! We learned about different wines, Halifax and Nova Scotia history, and so much more! Thank you Terri for the wonderful tour!

  Fun, informative, and eye-opening experience. My guide Ralph was open, friendly, and embodied that quintessential East Cost hospitality, and he dropped his deep family roots in the region with anecdotes as we made our trip; I also appreciated that he read the room and didn't talk the whole time, and just gave us the time to talk and relax on the highway between Halifax and the wine region. The wineries that we visited showed off the best of this little known area in the wine world, and each of the experiences that we had were hosted by experienced and knowledgeable staff who answered some tough and deep-cut questions from our group that coincidentally had wine experts from other regions. I highly recommend this tour for any adventurous oenophiles out there.

• Disaster…they forgot about our booking

  Badly let down by this company. We can't comment on the quality of the vineyard tour and wine tasting as due to the incompetence of the admin staff we never went on the trip. We booked a month in advance, had the reservation confirmed in writing and even received an email inviting us to place our lunch order. 'We hope you are getting excited for your upcoming wine tour with us,' it began. The day before the trip another email arrived confirming details of the time and location of the morning pick-up. We arrived early but the minibus never turned up. When we rang the tour operator we were told there was no tour today due to a private booking. After explaining we had booked she put us on hold for several minutes before confirming our booking had been found but there was nothing they could do. At that point we saw the company minibus pass the hotel, presumably heading off to wine country. It was our last day in Halifax and there was no time to book an alternative visit. The company made little effort to make amends. We got a refund and after pressing them for more they refunded the cost of the taxi to the pick-up location hotel. It was a very disappointing experience. Anyone booking this trip should be warned and phone to confirm you haven't been forgotten like we were.

  It was a beautiful sunny day. J.D. was a great guide with an awesome sense of humour. We got picked up at 9:30, had two stops along the way to pick up others but those were not out of our way, visited 4 vineyards and were back by 4:15. The scenery at all was beautiful. My favourite wines were the red phone booth at Luckett’s and the two reds at Mercator. One of the bubbles at Benjamin Bridge was okay, but the rest of the whites were not my favourites. However, it’s always good to expand your repertoire. Would highly recommend as you get the wine tastings, a delicious lunch at Luckett’s, learn a bit of history and see the very pretty Wolfeville area.
