Escape into the beautiful Somerset countryside for a day of wine and cheese tasting, with a stop for Michelin-starred lunch (included) and garden tour! The first stop is a natural, biodynamic vineyard with breathtaking views over Chew Valley Lake. You'll learn about the biodynamic approach to viticulture and the impact it has on both of flavour of the wine and the land and you'll taste two of these unique wines. Then there will be a stop for a three course lunch at a famous rural restaurant! We'll also enjoy a tour of their beautiful gardens. We'll then head to the village of Cheddar. You'll have time to explore this charming village before taking a tour of a dairy that produces the only cheddar cheese made in Cheddar and taste some wonderful cheeses. Next, a vineyard cultured by the inspiring Ingrid, who has a passion for planet-friendly growing techniques. And, of course, you'll taste her fabulous wine! Your itinerary: 10.00 - Meet in Bristol and board minibus 10.30 - Limeburn Hill vineyard, Chew Magna 12.00 - Lunch at The Pony, Chew Valley 2.00 - Explore Cheddar village & cheese tasting 3.45 - Sutton Ridge Vineyard 5.30 - 6.00 - Arrive in Bristol

5.00A beautiful treat of a day guided by the brilliant Florence in a fun minibus with a lovely small group of people to some fantastic places outside Bristol. Yes, the sun was shining but the true magic came from the makers of wine and cheese who we met, and the stories we were told about their love for what they produce. Delicious things to eat and drink at every stop! Limeburn Hill Vineyard are total wizards in what they do and Tim, the gardener at The Pony was a characterful, knowledgeable legend who we could have listened to all day. Florence has curated a wonderful tour well worth booking on.
Completely worth it. Really.

5.00At first I was hesitant to book this tour because of the price. But with a Michelin star chef, a tour of his garden, two amazing wineries, and a trip to Cheddar with private cheese tasting, all on a comfortable minibus, it was well worth the price! Our guide, Florence, was very knowledgeable about viticulture and sustainable food and wine and extremely helpful and accommodating given that one of us had difficulties walking very far. A highlight of our days in Bristol!

5.00A wonderful day - highly recommended The tour was relaxed and really informative. Who knew wine making is so complex? And then you taste the end result. And the cheese making was fun too. Florence was just great. Fun and friendly and had everything brilliantly organised. I've since convinced two friends to book a trip.

5.00This has to be one of the best trips I have been on. Florence the tour guide was so friendly and informative. The vineyards we visited were beautiful and brilliant. We were so well informed about the vineyards by the owners, and the wines were bloody delicious. The cheese tasting and visit round the Cheddar factory was excellent and the cheeses were so tasty. I would thoroughly recommend this trip.

5.00We absolutely loved the Wine & Cheese Tour. It was a brilliant mix of beautiful locations and amazing flavours. Each stop offered something different, from the vineyard views to cheesemaking in Cheddar, and lunch at The Pony was a real treat. You could tell how much care had gone into planning the day. A brilliant way to explore Somerset’s food and drink scene. We’re already thinking about booking another GOOD tour!

5.00We had a brilliant day on the Wine & Cheese Tour! Each stop was unique and really interesting, offering delicious food and wines. Florence was a fantastic guide - friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the local food scene. The whole experience was well-organised, relaxed, and full of great flavours. We’d definitely recommend it to any food and wine lover!

5.00We had a great time, really enjoyed visiting some local producers and learning about their businesses and what goes into growing different varieties of grapes, different techniques to create the wine, and of course making cheese! We were able to ask lots of questions, sample lots of delicious cheese and wine, and the light lunch at “The Pony” was a real treat along with the tour of their produce garden. Florence definitely helped make it a fun experience, getting to know everyone throughout the day, and kept spirits high despite a few drops of rain (which actually didn’t take away from the experience at all). Would definitely recommend.
