We’ll learn the secrets of how the bubbles enter the bottle and explore the history, production, and devotion to quality behind the world-famous Czech beer Pilsner Urquell.

We will start our tour in Czech most known sparkling wine producer factory. During this visit you will enjoy guided tour during which you will discover how this famous sekt is made. You will learn the difference between the traditional and Charmat production methods, how yeast is shaken down, and how sediments are removed from sparkling wines. Tour will be followed with sparkling wine tasting where you can get familiar with 5 samples of this famous producer.
Pilsner Urquell Brewery
After this visit of the sparkling wine factory, we will drive directly to the Brewery to have a Czech traditional lunch in a very friendly restaurant. (Optional:After this visit, we will drive you to the city center of Pilsen, where we will enjoy a traditional Czech lunch experience). We will spend the rest of the day (almost 2 hours) in the historic brewery that has inspired more than two-thirds of the world’s beers! Famous Pilsner Urquell-style beers are still today known as “Pils”, “Pilsner” or “Pilsener” all over the world! History lovers will be impressed by the model of the brewery from the 19th century, the brew house from the 1930s and the historical cellars. Learn the unique method of brewing Pilsner Urquell beer and visit the new bottling facility, which can handle 120,000 bottles per hour. Wrap up with a guided brewery tour and beer tasting of Pilsner Urquell’s finest products. At the end of the day we will drive you back to your hotel in Prague.

5.00Andrea picked us up at the scheduled time. We drove to Plzen. First stop was Bohemia Sekt where we first got a round in the vineyard. Then there were tasting of seeing different sparkling wines. Along the way, she told me about different places we passed. Afterwards there was lunch at PilsnerUrqeuell with subsequent round in the brewery. Finally there was a taste of beer and a round in the souvenir shop. Andrea has great knowledge of Prague, the surrounding areas and about beer and wine. Really a nice excursion. Recommended

5.00My husband & I did a full day private trip to Bohemia Sekt sparkling wine cellar & Pilsner Urquell brewery with Andrea. We were conveniently picked up from our hotel, greeted with snacks, and hit the road for ~1 hr. We thoroughly enjoyed the Bohemia Sekt cellars. We received a very informative private tour where we learned about & witnessed the traditional method of sparkling wine creation, the bottling process, and finally got to try various samples of sparkling wine. We then headed to Pilsen to the Pilsner Urquell brewery where we had a delicious lunch before we did a group tour around the Brewery and sampled beer from their cellars. Andrea was an excellent guide. She had a great relationship with all of the folks at the wine cellar & brewery, was our personal photographer/already knew all the spots for the best photo ops, and very graciously recommended a great local spot for dinner. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves sparkling wine and/or Pilsner Urquell beer! Thanks so much Andrea! -Gabby & Michael

5.00Andrea was the best tour guide we could ever have asked for. Her attention to us as her guests was immeasurable. She was incredibly kind and generous with her knowledge and hospitality. We will definitely be using her guide service again the next time we can come back to the beautiful Czech Republic. The tour we went on at Bohemian Sekt was really nice and the tasting at the end was eye opening to the quality of Czech wines, and made us want to explore more of the wineries in the Czech regions. To top it off we had an excellent lunch, tour, and tasting of the unfiltered beer at the Pilsner Urquell brewery, bottling facility and most of all the aging cellars below the brewery. We really couldn't have asked for more. I would highly recommend Andrea and her tour company to anyone.

5.00I had a very enjoyable wine and beer tour progam, visiting the best sparkling winery in the Czech Republic and the Pilsner Urquell brewery with my wife. Thanks to the charming and friendly guide, Andrea, who prepared a perfect tour itinerary. It was the most enjoyable day we spent in the Czech Republic.

5.00The winery and brewery visited were perfectly selected, the tour guide was very knowledgeable, and the wine, beer, and food sampled was just outstanding - - I would definitely recommend to anyone who appreciates good food and drink!
