Cappadocia has so many different types of wines. Grapes are growing very well here. We have a wine culture of about 4000 years. That's why you need a guide who knows about wine. So first of all you will learn our local grapes, culture and how to taste. We will try 20 shot different types of wines. Red, White, Rose, Blush, Fruite, and some organic wines.

5.00Excellent experience. We tasted 20 different wines with both Turkish native grapes and French grapes cultivated in Turkey. Erdi is very knowledgeable about and explained wine making in a way that we had never heard before. We learned a lot from this experience. This is our best wine tasting experience. Highly recommend.

5.00Great wine tasting tour, we booked for our last evening in Cappadocia and did not disappoint. Our host was very knowledgeable and met us at our level of knowledge very well. Would recommend for a cool different experience in the Avanos area

5.00The host was really friendly and not only did he explain how different types of wine are created, but he did it with so much passion! I admire that. We learned a lot, different types of grapes, the meaning of the wine color, what to pair which wine to what type of food and also why, and so on.. The wines were quite diverse, from white, red, rose Cappadocia wines to fruit wines to sweet wines, the list goes on and on. Definitely recommend for anyone to come here!

5.00Our wine tasting experience was so interesting and enjoyable! Erdi gave us a really valuable lesson in Turkish wine and the culture that created it over the previous generations as. We tasted 20 wines from Turkey, and learnt so much whilst having a wonderful time tasting them. Highly recommend this experience for anyone who wants to learn not just about wine, but about the Turkish winemaking methods and culture.

5.00This is one the most fulfilling and exciting experience had during our stay in Cappadoccia precisely in Avanos where we had a georgous wine tasting experience that would remain with us for a long time. The host (Erid) was very knowledgeable, approachable and professional. We tasted over 16 different types of wine in small quantities with full explanation of each type of wine from white to blush to rosseo to red and full bodied red. He did explained origin, process and storage of each type of wine and what to be looking for from a bottle of wine. Attending this wine tasting has certainly increased our knowledge to knowing how to choose a good wine when the occasion arises. Thank you Erid!

He didn’t just serve wine — he shared fascinating stories and local myths that brought the region’s history to life with every glass. His passion was contagious, and you could feel how much he genuinely loves what he does. The atmosphere was warm, engaging, and full of personality. It wasn’t just a tasting — it felt like a journey. 5.0010/10 would recommend! DELICIOUS wine. We all went home with a bottle or two. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel at home while enjoying the tasting. They also provided some light refreshments.

5.00The tasting at Salkim Wine House was really great! We drank almost 20 wines, most of them from Cappadocia, white and red and rosy and fruit wine. Erdi knows a lot about wine and can feel his passion for wine culture. I didn't know anything about Turkish wine before, and this time it was a long shot. The whole process was easy and a lot of lessons were learned. The decor is also interesting. Erdi deliberately asked me to write a review in Chinese, saying that there are not many Chinese tourists and I hope to see more Chinese. It's worth recommending.
