Talkeetna Air Taxi
You will start your excursion by checking into our log cabin office at the Talkeetna State Airport 45 minutes prior to your flight departure. Be sure to bring your sunglasses, light jacket (in the summer) and plenty of memory on your camera. Board our ski-equipped aircraft and enjoy your pilots' commentary about the geological history and local wildlife on your individual headset. Continue your flight above Talkeetna and over the river systems of the Susitna valley as you enter into an incredible landscape of icefalls, glaciers and snow peaks. You'll be awed by the Great Gorge of the Ruth Glacier, filled with a 4,000 foot thick river of ice, making this one of the deepest gorges in the world. Travel further into the range to explore the seven major glaciers that blanket the southside of the Alaska Range. Add a glacier landing onto your trip for a highlight of your Alaska vacation. 5.00What an amazing experience,Smooth check in, professional and informative pilot. We felt safe at all time. Weather cooperated and were able to land in the glacier which was a dream come true. Spent considerable time in the glacier taking in the views, never felt rushed and got to see up and close the mountains as he flew close to then giving us views from all angles. We definitely want to repeat this experience, probably in a different season and will chose talkeetna Air Taxi again.

5.00Even though we weren’t able to see Denali that day due to thick clouds not allowing us to fly through them, we did still see the incredible Ruth glacier and the surrounding mountains. Seeing everything from that perspective was so unique and it makes you feel very small, but in a good way. Those glaciers, especially the alpine ones coming down from the mountains like waterfalls were really a sight to behold. Even on the flight back to Talkeetna the winding frozen rivers across the landscape were so beautiful. Our pilot Andy was great and I felt perfectly safe the whole time.

5.00When visiting Talkeetna going on a flightseeing tour is a must, and having selected Talkeetna Air Taxi was an excellent choice. The weather could have not been better. This absolutely magic day yielded grand views of the range, and of course in particular Denali. I travel through Alaska since 2010, and I go on a flightsee every time I visit, and I visit twice a year. It's simply magic, and Talkeetna Air Taxi ensures that every trip is special. Just awesome!!!!!

5.00I’m always a bit hesitant to schedule flightseeing tours (due to an experience many, many years ago) but decided to give it a try again on this trip. I’m so very glad I did!! The views were amazing!! Our pilot was great and I’d fly with him again anytime. He was very conscientious of our wellbeing throughout flight. He pointed out specific areas of interest and details about the glaciers and mountains. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to complete the glacier landing as originally planned. I appreciate the agency’s communication regarding the safety concerns which were communicated with us prior to the flight. It was was a great experience from check-in to chevk-out. Would love to fly with them again if I’m able to return to Alaska. Thanks Talkeetna Air for a great experience!!

5.00A once in a lifetime experience. Definitely the best way to see Denali. Had a glacier landing on Ruth Glacier for about 25 mins which was great. The pilot was excellent and so was all of the staff at the office. Booking was super easy, they were easier to communicate with than the other tour company in the city. I had to move my date once because of a conflict in travel plans, and then I had to move it a second time as I was the only person booked for another trip. They were very easy to accommodate my travel plans.
