This exceeded all our expectations! Joe our guide was absolutely phenomenal. If this is your first time visiting, this is the way to go. Educational, offered us options on where we wanted to spend our time, wasn’t rushed and just one of the best days ! I’m so grateful I got to experience this with my daughter on our trip - thank you again Joe for an awesome afternoon.

We went on a Rocky Mountain Winter Adventure at the beginning of February 2026. It was the off-season for Estes Park, but the weather was beautiful. There was only 3 of us other than the tour guide. Our tour guide, CE was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and willing to make the tour whatever we wanted it to be! Bonus: he’s an astronomer, so lots of interesting information there, too. We saw deer, elk, and various birds. Again, this was the off-season, so may be able to spot more in different times of the year. We were offered snacks, water, and hot chocolate. There was little snow, but we were able to sled! All in all, would recommend this tour/excursion to anyone looking to experience the Rocky Mountain National Park!

This was a fantastic tour. Joe, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the area and went out of his way to make sure we seen wildlife which was one of the main things we wanted. We got to walk out on a frozen lake, something I would never do on my own, but Joe reassured us that it was ok. If you’re considering a tour just do it, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely go on another tour, hopefully in the fall to see the elk rutting.

What an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the most friendly woman at the counter. We were offered hot chocolate, blankets, and even gloves if needed! Our tour guide, Josh, made the trip a “once in a lifetime” experience! He was so knowledgeable about literally everything! The views were absolutely breathtaking and we even got to go sledding! I would go on this trip daily if I lived in Colorado. Save time to stay in the town if Estes, it was stunning! We’d go back again and again! Thank you for the memories!!!

CE it was a great tour guide, he was very knowledgeable and very entertaining. He knew all the best spots to take us to and we learned so much about Rocky Mountain national Park even after having been here many in the past.

We had CE as our guide, and had such a blast! He was so pleasant, engaging, and knowledgeable, and made our trip so incredibly special. This was by far one of the best ways to experience the majesty of the Rockies!

Our guide was amazing. Funny, knowledgeable, took his time with everyone. We saw alot of wild life on this trip. Everything was amazing.

My wife and I took an excursion through Rocky Mountain National Park on January 9, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. We booked with Wildside 4x4 Tours, and from start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Our guide, Royce, made the day unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the park. Throughout the drive, he shared fascinating insights about the landscape, wildlife, and history of the area — all while keeping the ride fun, relaxed, and full of great energy. It felt less like a tour and more like exploring with a friend who knows every hidden corner of the Rockies. The route was beautiful, the vehicle was comfortable, and the entire experience felt thoughtfully curated. If you’re visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and want a mix of adventure, scenery, and genuine hospitality, I highly recommend Wildside 4x4 Tours — and definitely ask for Royce. We left with amazing memories and a deeper appreciation for the park.
