Wuzhen Water Town
Your friendly private guide picks you up from your city hotel at 9:30am, and head up to Wuzhen, a 1,300 years old water town located in northern Zhejiang province. Upon arrival, stroll along the old town and learn about the Wuzhen’s history from your guide. Enjoy a local lunch and then take a relaxing boat ride along the canals in the afternoon. You can take some nice photos in this charm-laden town. Browse around the narrow, cobbled pathways and cross stone-arched bridges.
Xitang Ancient Town
In the late afternoon, transfer to Xitang, a over 2,000 years delightful water village. The sunset here is amazing! Your guide will share with you about Xitang’s importance as a window into traditional life around the River Yangtze. As you wander, see some of the sites used as locations in the 2006 movie, Mission Impossible III, starring Tom Cruise. Lastly, have a romantic dinner right by the riverside and overlook the entire ancient town when lights on at night. After dinner, you can take a walk to see the local shops and bars to experience the night life here. When your tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai city. i.

5.00Kimi was our guide and took us through 2 amazing towns. He knew we loved pictures and was patient with us and tried to show us as much as he could. Both towns are beautiful yet so different so I am happy we got to experience both. One of our favorite days in Shanghai.

5.00We had a wonderful tour to Wuzhen and Xitang with our guide Kimi and driver. Kimi was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, explaining not only the sites we visited but also sharing insights about Chinese history and culture. He was very thoughtful and caring throughout the entire trip. Kimi also made great efforts to arrange delicious local meals for lunch and dinner, and he took the time to explain the dishes and local food culture. The tour was truly excellent, and we highly recommend touring with Kimi.

5.00Caroline was a great guide. Even with heavy crowds, she made everything very easy and was very informative and accommodating. I’ve done tours all over the world and this was a great experience. These water towns are popular for a reason, don’t miss it!

5.00We had an incredible experience with Caroline as our guide. She was warm, friendly, spoke perfect English, and made the whole day feel effortless and fun. She knew exactly where to take us for the best photo spots and viewpoints, and the timing of everything was perfect. Our driver was also fantastic—safe, professional, and very kind. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend!

5.00This tour was a well-planned and relaxing experience. Caroline, our tour guide, was very friendly, accommodating and resourceful. The first half of the tour takes place in Wuzhen where you get a more historical view of the water town. The second half is in Xitang where it’s more modern with its cafes/bars and nightlife. The gorgeous lights and lanterns of Xitang are a must-see. In addition to the enchanting lighting, the live music and calming canal waters make for a magical vibe. My aunt and I really enjoyed both Wuzhen and Xitang. Tip: if you’re visiting in December, be sure to bundle up with warm winter wear. A pair of gloves/mittens will go a long way!

5.00We took the Wuzhen & Xitang private tour. Queena is very accommodating to include both Wuzhen East and West gates in our tour. Full flexibility given to us. We managed to cover Xitang night tour. Very pleasant night view on the night cruise. Brought us to local restaurants and we enjoyed the local delicacies. Overall a 5 star tour!

5.00We had an amazing day trip visiting Wuzhen Water Town in the daytime and Xitang Water Town at night — it was the perfect combination! Wuzhen was beautiful, peaceful, and full of traditional charm, and seeing Xitang in the evening was completely different — the night scenery was truly magical and so photogenic. Our guide Caroline was fantastic — very knowledgeable, patient, energetic, and always caring about our comfort. She explained so much history and culture in an easy and interesting way. The driver was also very punctual and professional, which made the whole day smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended!

5.00This tour was the highlight of our trip because we had the best tour guide, Caroline! She was so energetic, patient, knowledgeable and best of all, so much fun to be with! We knew this tour would be awesome from the very beginning because the tour operator asked us if we wanted to start the tour later so that we can experience the beauty of the lights in Xitang! Xitang and Wuhen are two water cities not to be missed as each are unique. Having a guide like Caroline was truly a delight and when we come back, we will seek this tour operator and specifically ask for Caroline as our guide!!
