• Very enjoyable 10 days private tour with Kathy

  My wife and I are in our mid60s. I chose Kathy because she was very responsive and her rates were reasonable. She was the 1st to response to my queries and was trusting. She just needed 20% deposit paid either by Wechat or Alipay and I could pay the rest when we met her in person. Her quote for the private tour was very reasonable. I told her places I wanted to visit and asked her to suggest any places she would recommend. See end of this msg for her the itinerary She is caring and speaks good English. If you like history you will find her commentary very detailed and helpful. Very knowledgeable. In the Terracotta museum, despite the crowd, she brough us to strategic locations to see key features in the pits. I like the food at Zui Chang An restaurant where we ate Shaanxi cuisine. She knew our Singaporean tastebuds - less salt, less oil and less spicy. I like spicy food but their local spiciness is more towards Central Asian and Indian. The driver Mr. Yu was also very caring. Took care of us throughout from the night we arrive to the time we flew off. He also drove us to Hukou waterfall 4h away from Xi An. We also tried local village food. Good experience! It is good to have a day or two free days to rest and explore Xi An by yourself. Some places can be tiring to visit eg Hua Shan and Hukou XI'AN Customized Private Tour Itinerary April 11th Our tour driver will await you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. (For midnight flight arrivals) (Lunch & Tang Dynasty Dinner Show Included) At 11:30 am, your tour guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby. You will first enjoy an authentic local lunch, then explore the 600-year-old Ming Dynasty City Wall, Great Mosque, Muslim Street, and Bell and Drum Tower Square. In the evening, you’ll attend the Tang Dynasty dinner show. April 12th Sunday Free day April 13th (Lunch Included) At 9:00 am, your tour guide and driver will greet you in the hotel lobby. You will visit the Terracotta Army Museum first. After lunch, you will return downtown to visit the 1,300-year-old imperial temple Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and take a leisurely stroll along Tang Dynasty Pedestrian Street. Evening Camel Show April 14th (Light Lunch & Dinner Included) At 8:30 am, your tour guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby and head to Huashan Mountain—one of China’s Five Great Sacred Mountains. You will take Asia’s longest cable car to the mountain top and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. April 15th At 8:30 am, your tour guide and driver will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby. You will travel to Hukou Waterfall for a visit, have lunch en route, and then return to the hotel afterward. *April 16th Grand Canyon Transport and Lunch included* April 17th (Lunch Included | Overnight Stay in Luoyang) In Xi’an, your driver will pick you up from the hotel lobby and transfer you to the train station. Upon arrival in Luoyang, a local guide and driver will greet you at the station. After lunch, you will visit the Longmen Grottoes and Lijingmen Old Town. April 18th (Lunch Included) At 8:30 am, your Luoyang tour guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby and proceed to Shaolin Temple, where you can watch the kung fu performance. After lunch, you will be dropped off at the train station; then our Xi’an driver will pick you up and take you back to your hotel in Xi’an. Sunday April 19th (Free Time) self tour -Shaanxi Museum in the afternoon Around 9:00 pm, our driver will transfer you to the airport for your departure.

  We had an absolutely AMAZING experience with Kathy during our Xi'an tour. Although we only had her for 4 days, she was able to bring us to visit all of our must visit destinations in the city such as the Terracotta army, the wild goose pavilion and the Muslim street. She also was very informative during the tours, going deep into the location's history and cultural significance. The package we had with her included our lunch and she was so generous with her servings, ordering so much delicious food for us till we were about to burst. She also recommended all sorts of street food and restaurants for us to try when we had the chance. Not only that, but even after the tour, we were having some issues with our train tickets to the next leg of our trip, but Kathy swooped in to rescue us and helped us book the tickets on our behalf even after our tour with her ended. I honestly couldn't recommend her more.

  

  

  

  

• Fufilled, Exciting, Memorable Xi'an Experience

  Kathy picked us up at the airport and took us around Xi'an. She was extremely knowledgeable on so many historical facts. Most importantly Kathy was very patient and accommodating with my 3 kids. She was very receptive to all questions we had and put us at ease. I highly recommend using her as your guide in Xi'an, especially if you have a family. We have wonderful memories of our trip, thanks to Kathy.

  I am very satisfied with Kathy’s service as out tour guide. She is highly experienced and has extensive knowledge of Xi’an’s history, which she explained to us clearly throughout the trip. She was always by our side and very helpful especially when we went shopping and faced language barriers. She also assisted my friend who was unwell by bringing us to a pharmacy. Since this was a Muslim tour, she was very attentive to our needs especially regarding halal food. Kathy is very friendly and considerate. We are truly happy with this trip. We will definitely recommend her to any friends who plan to visit Xi’an in the future.

  I couldn’t recommend Kathy more highly. She helped us twice: first (2024) in Xi’an for a city tour, and then for the Terracotta Army. Both tours were flawless, and Kathy combined deep knowledge with a constant desire to make our lives easier. The following year, she arranged tours for us in several cities—again, perfectly—and even on short notice and at odd hours solved issues like sold-out trains and Alipay payments. Her rates are very reasonable, and she’s flexible about tailoring each tour in advance—for example, using public transport instead of a car with a driver. In conclusion, China can sometimes be challenging, and having a guide who speaks perfect English is truly extraordinary—it makes the whole trip completely hassle-free.

  What an amazing tour experience in Xi’an, all thanks to our wonderful guide, Kathy! From the very beginning, she remembered each of our family members' preferences—what we like and don’t like to eat—and took such thoughtful care of everyone, especially my mum and my son. My little boy adored her so much that he kept asking about her even after we changed to a new tour guide in another city. Kathy always shared local snacks with us, picking up little treats along the way just to make us smile. She’s incredibly patient, kind, and truly made me fall in love with Xi’an.   During the entire trip, Kathy was very patient and thoughtful. She planned a flexible schedule that worked well for everyone— elderly in the group could keep up without feeling rushed and the younger ones had plenty of time to enjoy themselves. She even waited in a long queue for more than 30 minutes at a busy bakery to buy us some famous local bread. When our flight was delayed and our original plans didn’t work out, Kathy handled it really well. She stayed calm, acted professionally, and quickly came up with a new plan for us. Thanks to her, what could have been a stressful situation turned out just fine.
