Greenstone is beautifully situated on a single site in the picturesque Yarra Valley, an hour’s drive from Melbourne. The Winery and Cellar Door, which are nestled in to the base of the Christmas Hills, have unparalleled views of the Estate vineyard and Great Dividing ranges. It is here that winemaking operations are carried out, making Greenstone one of the most progressive wineries in the valley.

4.00We visited 4 wineries with a decent variety of different wines from the region. Our driver/guide, Andy, was pleasant and efficient throughout the day. We particularly enjoyed the last stop where we had a private room with seating for everyone, as opposed to the other venues where we were all standing around in a big group.
Great selection of wineries, very little time to do anything

3.00While the wineries selection was good, it felt extremely rushed and as though we had no time to do anything apart from the tastings themselves. Our tour guide kept rushing us back onto the bus, as we barely even had time to go to the bathroom after each tasting before being told we needed to be back on the bus. The timing could have been better planned, especially to allow us to have a little extra time at each winery. Our tour guide had even said that we could leave a little later, but that meant he would be stuck in traffic. I didn't appreciate that we weren't given much of a choice in the matter, as it seemed all guests were eager to have a little more time at each winery.

3.00Lots of white wines and bubbles. If you enjoy your full bodied reds probably not for you. The wineries include ‘boutique’ to very commercialized.

4.00Great people on the tour. Felt some of the tastings were a bit rushed especially at the Balgownie estate. Lunch at the Balgownie estate was ok but not a great choice of food on offer and not great portion sizes. Overall the tour was good and driver nice but have been on better value wine tours.

5.00A great day out learning about so many different wines and all the different requirements needed for a great harvest. Our guide was extremely pleasant and jovial. Full of good local knowledge & answered lots of our questions. So nice to meet & mix with lovely people from all over the world
