YehLiu Geopark
Located in Wanli District, New Taipei City, as one of the premier attractions in the northern coast of Taiwan, Yehliu Geopark is home to a number of unique rock formations caused by wind and sea, such as the mushroom rocks, the chessboard rock, the trace fossils and all that.
Queen's Head
The most famous rock formation is the iconic “Queen’s Head”, a mushroom rock that resembles the profile of England’s Queen Elizabeth. Every year, the “Yehliu Night Tour” features light shows, water projection, etc, attracting over ten thousands visitors flock to see the Queen’s Head illumined at night. Besides the Queen’s Head, other remarkable formations such as the Sea Candles, the Fairy Shoe, the Ginger Rocks, the Elephant Rock, the Ice Cream Rock, the Kissing Rock, and the Princess’ Head, are worth taking a look at.

5.00Convenient pick up and drop off location central Taipei. Gordon was an extremely knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. The weather did not cooperate, but everyone had a very enjoyable time!

5.00Great tour. Took us to all the sites as promised. Check in was smooth although the location was updated to one that was 1-minute away via message. So if you take this tour just watch out for this. The start of the tour was prompt and the bus used was comfortable. We were taken to each of the destinations and along the way, our guide Walter was a wealth of knowledge regarding the locations, the history of Taiwan, and tips about getting around. He was very clear, humorous, and responsible. It was a good time despite cool temps and heavy rains. I’d recommend this tour and Walter.

5.00Enjoyable time on tour with Tony and small group. My favs were Shifen and flying a lantern, such a unique experience to make your own lantern message and launch it in the air. The other neat experience was Jiufen market and their popular tea house. For me, the tour was more of an introduction to each location since there was limited time at each place as an all day tour. I never felt rushed but others did. I did noticed there were many other large bus group tours so our smaller shuttle tour was able to more easily drop off and pick up closer to destinations, which was convenient and allowed us more time to explore. Our shuttle was comfortable with AC and I sat near back with no one behind me so I was able to recline seat to sleep on longer stretches. Tony was great giving us educational highlights at each place. He was informative and a wealth of knowledge. Overall, had a nice time exploring! I’d love to come back in future to spend more time.

5.00It is a great way to see and experience Taiwan. We enjoyed every place, the culture and the experience. Tony, our tour guide is great, knowlegable and fun. He makes sure we are well informed and he cares about our safety. I highly recommend this tour to everyone who has a day or 2 days in Taiwan.
