YehLiu Geopark
Located in Wanli District, New Taipei City, as one of the premier attractions in the northern coast of Taiwan, Yehliu Geopark is home to a number of unique rock formations caused by wind and sea, such as the mushroom rocks, the chessboard rock, the trace fossils and all that.
Queen's Head
The most famous rock formation is the iconic “Queen’s Head”, a mushroom rock that resembles the profile of England’s Queen Elizabeth. Every year, the “Yehliu Night Tour” features light shows, water projection, etc, attracting over ten thousands visitors flock to see the Queen’s Head illumined at night. Besides the Queen’s Head, other remarkable formations such as the Sea Candles, the Fairy Shoe, the Ginger Rocks, the Elephant Rock, the Ice Cream Rock, the Kissing Rock, and the Princess’ Head, are worth taking a look at.

5.00This was a great itinerary for a day trip. Julie, our guide, was very experienced and made sure we saw as much as possible. Would highly recommend this trip for anyone wanting to get out of the city for a bit and experience what else this beautiful country has to offer. Shifen waterfall was particularly beautiful.

1.00Unfortunately our guide James insisted on wearing a mask all day and I was unable to understand a word he said. A number of the people in the group complained but to no avail. The heating system on the bus wasn’t working and we had to sit with our coats on all the time as it was very cold. Because we couldn’t understand what James was saying we left without any real appreciation of what we saw during the tour.

3.00James was friendly, sweet and caring. He does speak a little soft so hearing was a bit hard, however he answered all our questions and is very knowledgeable. Super talented to be trilingual as well. If youre not sure what to do, you smash out a lot of places and things with this tour - with admission and activities such as the lanterns paid for. I think if I were to do these destinations alone, I wouldn't have understood and gotten out much; however I came out learning a lot. It's a pretty standard package, however worth what you pay

5.00I had a really fun time on this day tour. Got to try lot of street food. The views are amazing at Yehliu, Jiufen, Pingxi, Shifen waterfall. The lanter experience was truly memorable and special. The guide was very knowledgable and took great pictures for everyone on the tour.

5.00Kwan, out guide was outstanding from start to finish. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate, which made the entire experience engaging and memorable. Everything was well organized, questions were always welcomed, and we learned so much without ever feeling rushed. His local insights and stories added real depth to the experience. Highly recommended—I would gladly book another tour with them!

4.00We saw a lot during this tour and it was a long day. I enjoyed the lantern and that was a unique experience. We just spent too long in the town for free shopping time. Then we went to another town with a beautiful view and had lunch on our own... Again could have easily spent 30 minutes less her free time shopping. Finally the rocks were great at the end and beautiful, could have probably used a bit more time here. All and all a good tour and good value for the money.

4.00We picked the tour to make transport between the places easier to manage during one day only from Taipei. It did. Prompt meeting and comfortable enough bus. IMO not enough time at Yehlui and too much time in Jiufen. Actually Jiufen is very disappointing and I would avoid. Waterfalls are lovely but again not enough time. Setting off a sky lantern was fun.
