YehLiu Geopark
Located in Wanli District, New Taipei City, as one of the premier attractions in the northern coast of Taiwan, Yehliu Geopark is home to a number of unique rock formations caused by wind and sea, such as the mushroom rocks, the chessboard rock, the trace fossils and all that.
Queen's Head
The most famous rock formation is the iconic “Queen’s Head”, a mushroom rock that resembles the profile of England’s Queen Elizabeth. Every year, the “Yehliu Night Tour” features light shows, water projection, etc, attracting over ten thousands visitors flock to see the Queen’s Head illumined at night. Besides the Queen’s Head, other remarkable formations such as the Sea Candles, the Fairy Shoe, the Ginger Rocks, the Elephant Rock, the Ice Cream Rock, the Kissing Rock, and the Princess’ Head, are worth taking a look at.

5.00What a lovely day this tour was. Very well organised, tour guide was great, very well impressed, never at all was I bored, all dissapointed. My one recommendation is don’t go back with the tour bus , stay for the night scenery, it’s worth the taxi fair.

4.00It’s a well organised tour and it allows to have a nice overview of what is around Taipei. The guide was informative and friendly. Personally I wasn’t keen on Jiufen which is a bit like tourism-hell, and I felt we spent quite a long time there (especially as some inconsiderate people in the group arrived 30min late at the meeting point). So overall I think it was a nice day out, but nothing exceptional either.

5.00This tour was jam packed with a variety of things to see and do. If you’re looking for something that takes you outside of the big city and shows a few different cultural and natural aspects of Taiwan I definitely recommend!

5.00Great exploring outside the city. Saw a lot in one day. Had fun looking at the rock formations & guessing what they looked like-the famous Queen for example. Some lovely scenery too & lanterns. There are some steep steps/uphill walking in a couple of places but you don’t have to do this bit if you prefer not to. Well worth doing.

5.00Great stops, nicely paced, comfortable coach, and most importantly, Kevin Cu was the most excellent and entertaining guide. It was all great but I especially enjoyed the lantern release in Shifen. Thanks for a memorable experience.
