Firehole Canyon Drive
Firehole Canyon Drive is a 2-mile, one-way road off the Grand Loop south of Madison. The drive has a waterfall overlook and swimming area.
Fountain Paint Pot
Along Fountain Paint Pot Trail you will see various hydrothermal features that are expressions of Yellowstone’s still active volcano. Within this geologic system, each type of thermal feature is represented. They can be grouped into two general categories—those with a great deal of water (hot springs and geysers) and those with limited water (mudpots and fumaroles). Despite their structural similarities, no two features are exactly alike.

5.00Our guide, Jack, was the best. He was super knowledgeable and made the whole experience fun. We saw bears, wolves, elk and bison. He took us to all the stops but had many tricks to help navigate the August crowds. Fantastic day!

Alex was so knowledgeable and friendly and was the perfect guide who gave us an unforgettable day! We even saw a wolf with her keen eye for spotting wildlife, what a special experience! Alex truly listened to every one of us and enthusiastically adjusted our plans to ensure my 11-year-old daughter's wildest dreams would come true! 🦎✨ She even helped us find a salamander—how cool is that?! And let me tell you, Alex shared some mind-blowing scientific and historic facts that really sparked my 9-year-old son’s curiosity! 🤓 Plus, there were plenty of heartwarming jokes that kept us all giggling! Alex is so personable, knowledgeable, and approachable; it felt like we were exploring with a close friend! 🙌 She was incredibly accommodating, offering us a fantastic range of options to tailor our day exactly to our wish list. The cherry on top? We enjoyed a delightful lunch right on the banks of Yellowstone Lake—with our toes in the sand! 🌊🍽️ I can't recommend this experience enough—it's truly a terrific family adventure you don’t want to miss! 🌈💖

5.00Jackson is very passionate and knowledgeable about Yellowstone, its history, wildlife and environment. He was tenacious and showed us wolves, bears, bison, elk, big horns, prong horns, and birds of prey. We had a great day with him.

Saw lots of wildlife, amazing tourist stops and great picturesque stop for a picnic lunch!!! Lunch was amazing as well!!! 5.00Jack was our tour guide. He did a phenomenal job on our half day tour. We got to see many of the famous attractions in the lower loop of Yellowstone. He had some really good snacks and the lunch was fantastic. Not only was he a great tour guide but he gave us plenty of insight and information about Yellowstone along the way. Would definitely recommend!!
