5.00We joined the witch walk as part of the York residents weekend, it was a great experience, Ragnell played a fantastic character, very informative throughout, with a great sense of humour to entertain all ages.

5.00We joined the York Witch Walk with Ragnell Hagathorn yesterday as part of the York Residents Festival, and it was absolutely brilliant. The tour was funny, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, with the perfect mix of history, storytelling, and humour. Walking through the streets of York while hearing about its darker and more magical past made the city come alive in a whole new way. Ragnell was a fantastic guide — witty, charismatic, and clearly passionate about York’s history. We laughed a lot and learned so much. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors!

5.00Ragnell is not a tour guide. Ragnell is an ancient, and a kindly one. Ragnell does not need to be feared. Ragnell is a protective force that envelopes York and keeps her safe. Should you wish to embrace that, they will let you see where the hotspots are and how the job of maintaining the order works. Magnetic.
A fantastic ghost tour experience in York

5.00We’ve done all the popular ghost tours in York, and this time we decided to try someone new — enter Ragnell. Ragnell gave us a funny, informative, and thoroughly enjoyable ghost tour of the city. Although we were a very small group, this didn’t put Ragnell off at all. In fact, it made the experience feel much more personal. The energy and enthusiasm throughout the tour were excellent. Ragnell has only recently started running these tours, but you’d honestly think they’d been doing it for years. From the fantastic outfit to the perfectly fitting accent, the stories were delivered brilliantly and really brought the city’s history to life. Unfortunately, the weather got the better of us and we had to end the tour slightly early. We’d love to do it again on our next visit to York, and I’d absolutely encourage other visitors to give this tour a try. I can genuinely see it becoming one of the top ghost tours in York. Ragnell deserves every success with these tours. Good luck Dan (The non believer : -)

5.00This was the best walking tour I have ever experienced. It's not fair to call Ragnell Hagathorn a tour guide - they are a performance artist, and the tour was like taking part in an interactive theater event. As we walked down the streets of York, people left restaurants to marvel at their make-up and costume. There was one moment in a dark alley, where Ragnell told a horrific true tale with only their green walking stick lighting their face - it left us in stunned silence. Do not miss this!

5.00Ragnell is an absolute joy! Me, my husband and our daughter went on this witch walk last Sunday night. Ragnell took us through the streets of York spinning yarns and sharing spooky tales peppered with plenty of interesting, historical titbits and lots of humour. Just the right balance of atmospheric moments and entertainment. Loved the walk and would happily go again. Thank you Ragnell 😊
