Yosemite National Park
Your Yosemite tour includes frequent photo stops and a chance to walk to a waterfall or two. The bus trip itself provides ever-changing views, and the chance to explore a little and to learn about the history, geology, flora & fauna of this remarkable park. During your full-day Yosemite guided tour, you will experience: Half Dome, El Capitan, *Yosemite Falls, *Bridalveil Fall, *Glacier Point, Wawona, Royal Arches, Turtleback Dome, Three Brothers, Leaning Tower, *Ribbon Fall, Cathedral Spires, Yosemite Chapel, *Vernal Fall, and *Nevada Fall. *Glacier Point and some waterfalls are seasonal. Due to ever-changing conditions in Yosemite, the order of itinerary is not set but left up to your guide who will adjust the order of stops to give you the best experience possible and choose a nice spot to enjoy your included picnic lunch. This itinerary is subject to change due to conditions beyond our control.

5.00This was an all day tour of Yosemite. We were picked up at our hotel on time and toured in a very clean comfortable van with a small group. Our guide Jarrett was fantastic! We were able to see a lot of the natural beauty in Yosemite.
Leave the driving to the driver and enjoy the impressive scenery that is unique to Yosemite.

5.00Our guide Tyler was DELIGHTFUL Knowledgeable and shared many details that added to our experience. A careful driver, he navigated the busy roads were finesse!! Took us to all the spots that are renown in Yosemite and provided excellent commentary. Lunch provided was great. Would gladly book again. Leave the driving to the driver and enjoy the impressive scenery that is unique to Yosemite.

5.00As someone who had debated on whether or not to drive it myself or book this tour, I have to say this is absolutely the way to go if you just have a day to visit the park. I can honestly say I saw so much more, in a less stressful manner, than had I tried to drive it myself. Tyler was a fantastic tour guide and every element of the trip was quite well done. The lunches provided were a nice quality and very filling for the day. The bus was clean and comfortable and he even had some waters and snacks which gave it that extra elevated touch. His area knowledge was impressive and it certainly helped maximize what you could take in during the day tour.

5.00When visiting the Sierra in early Spring the weather can be unpredictable and you should in theory still carry chains/ cables just in case. In order to avoid any stress, we decided to book with Discover Yosemite for a full-day tour. Honestly, it was the best decision for us. As luck would have it, the weather was perfect and unusually warm on the day of our tour. Discover Yosemite conveniently picked us up from our hotel in Oakhurst in one of their comfortable vehicles that was clean and stocked with water bottles and snacks. Our guide was Grant who lives in the area and grew up vacationing with his family in Yosemite. A short drive along picturesque Highway 41 and we were already in the National Park. Grant's knowledge and willingness to answer questions relating to geography, flora, fauna, Native American and Euro-American history was incredible. We learnt so much more than we would have by reading a guidebook alone. On a practical note, going with Discover Yosemite meant that we were able to park closer to the significant sights (Tunnel View, Valley View, El Capitan etc), and understand what we were actually looking at. Owing to the fact it was a sunny day, the park was busy and I couldn't help but notice how much time was wasted by cars driving around and around looking for parking and inevitably having to park a mile away. The full-day tour gives plenty of opportunities to get out of the vehicle and walk around, take photos, eat, grab a coffee (important for me) and even shop for souvenirs. We would definitely go back to Yosemite NP and definitely book another tour with Discover Yosemite.

Winter highlights in a small group at Yosemite National Park

4.00The tour was supposed to start at 8:30. We got there on time. 20 minutes later, others arrived who had also booked a tour, but which was supposed to start at 9:00 am. Shortly after 9 o'clock the bus actually arrived and from now on everything was wonderful. Except for the weather. But at least, as in April, the rain and the sun alternated. We could see the highlights. The half Dome, however, was too covered by clouds. We were there on March 30. From 1.4. the redwoods can also be visited. You should take that into account. We got food because the tour lasted over 7 hours. The sandwich was pretty dry. But there were plenty of snacks and water and a banana. Funnily enough, you could plaster it in a posh hotel, in a large hall with a fireplace and on comfortable armchairs. The guide responded to all the questions, had a pleasant voice, It is definitely worth it so that you do not have to drive all this yourself and have to take care of parking. A few small walks we could also take. However, if you stay in the park. No need for the tour. But you have to reserve a year in advance.
