Enjoy a half day Sightseeing tour to the windmills, the countryside, a local cheese and clogs factory and Volendam.
You will visit a unique Dutch park called the Zaanse Schans not far from Amsterdam. Here are the most special windmills of The Netherlands such as the paint windmill, the sawmill, spices mill and peanut oil.
Thereafter you will see a demonstration how Dutch clogs are made and there is a possibility to buy clogs/wooden shoes and souvenirs.
The second stop will be at the Henri Willig farm where they will teach you how they treat their cows and there is a possibility to see how they milk the cows and you can see and touch the baby cows. Thereafter it is time to taste more than 30 flavors of very nice Dutch cheese for free!
At last you will visit Volendam where you can lunch in one of the best fish restaurants in town, buy some very nice Dutch waffles or enjoy the nice Harbor of Volendam.
Duration of the tour will be 5 hours and the pick up and drop off is in Amsterdam.

Zaanse Schans
Discover the great Dutch Windmills and make some nice pictures of it. There are 7 windmills left at the Zaanse Schans and a few are open to visit. You can visit the paint windmill (that is where Rembrandt the great Dutch artist purchased his paint), a saw mill, a spice mill and many more. Admission to the windmill park and parking costs are included in this tour.

Learn more about the Dutch wooden shoe making and see a demonstration how they make the Dutch clogs now. There is a possibility to buy the wooden shoes, the clogs and other souvenirs in the wooden shoe factory as well.

5.00Our tour was absolutely amazing. Our driver and guide Mesut, could not have been better. We absolutely loved visiting Zaanse Schans Windmills, cheese and clogs and Volendam. Mesut knew which lines to get in and and how to make the most of our time. I would do this tour every time I visited Amsterdam and would recommend to everyone.

5.00Gillio our guide was exceptional! He got us to each place and gave us lots of information, then gave us the option to explore on our own. He was friendly, professional and prompt. We loved getting off the beaten path in Amsterdam and taking a step back in the country.

5.00I enjoyed waking through the old windmills and especially liked watching a clog beeing made. At the cheese factory it was great to see the robot milking the cow. Delicious cheeses were available to taste too. The fishing village of Volendam was quaint with great food.

5.00We had a very nice morning with Gillio. We were picked up on time at 8:30; it was a clean, comfortable vehicle, and he was a good driver. Pleasant conversation as well. Gillio got us to each location ahead of the big tours, so we were able to enjoy each stop without crowds. The windmills were interesting, as was the clog making process. The cheese factory was also an interesting stop. We learned about their ethical cattle farming and were told how the cheese was originally made, but it would have been neat also to see how they make it now. We made purchases at each stop - there was no pressure whatsoever to buy anything - we decided to buy. While the selection was best at the stops we made, we noticed later during our time in Amsterdam that the prices were at least 10% more expensive than other places. Just an FYI if you are thinking of buying anything. We then spent an hour on our own at Volendam, which was plenty of time to take in the sights, stroll down the streets, and sample a few items from various restaurants that we passed by. Thank you, Gillio, for a great morning!

5.00We had the most amazing day with Ben as our tour guide and driver. Not only was he knowledgeable about history and the sites, he was the most amazing person. We loved him! The car was pure luxury. The places he took us were so interesting. He showed us things on our private tour that the groups don’t get to see. Everyone who can should go on this tour. You won’t be disappointed.
