Krakow
The tour begins with a transfer from Krakow to Zakopane. You will be picked up by your guide and, along the way, immerse you in the unique culture, traditions, and stories of the Podhale region. A scenic journey from Krakow to Zakopane, where breathtaking mountain views unfold with every mile will take around 2 hours.
Chocholow
On the way to Zakopane, you’ll pass through the traditional wooden village of Chochołów, known for its nearly identical wooden houses. The settlers follow a long-standing tradition of washing the wooden walls with soapy water twice a year, before Christmas and Easter, which keeps even the oldest buildings looking new. The village lies just 500 meters from our southern neighbor – Slovakia.

5.00This experience is an amazing way to see what Poland has to offer, try some of its delicacies and culture. Our driver and tour guide Bart was very knowledge and the whole experience was very smooth. Would recommend to anyone thinking of wanting a tour to Zakopane.

5.00This was the last of 3 tours booked with Krakow Direct. The first Auschwitz-Birkenau (Brilliant) , then the Salt mines (Brilliant) then this one absolutely brilliant. All trips ran like clockwork, on time and very professional. Zakopone tour guide Bob, was brilliant, he reorganised the schedule so we missed the queues for the funicular ride up the mountain. I would highly recommend Krakow Direct and although all our guides were brilliant, Bob was the best for us.

5.00The best part of our visit to Krakow this time. Excellent guide Krystian - perfect menegment, fun. It was snowing a lot, so not so much of breathtaking views, but good company and specially water relaxations were perfect.

5.00As a family we had the best day, krystian our guide was excellent made it fun and brought the feel good factor, it was news years eve and lots of snow in zakopane but j the snowpiercer showed why he is Kraków’s number one driver! Highly recommend booking with krakow direct!

5.00Had an amazing day out with Krystian and Jay as our tour guides, straight away we got a very warm welcome from both of them. Krystian was full of fun and made the bus journey pass in a blink. Jay was an incredible driver, handling the snow like it was nothing, and there was a lot of snow in Zakopane! Zakopane itself was a magical experience, it was snowing heavy when we were there but we still managed to get out and explore no problem, definitley a highlight of the trip. We then went on to the shepherds hut where we got to try local cheese and some nice vodka, Krystian and Jay toasted the new year with us like we were one big family. Ten minutes down the road from the shepherds hut was the thermal baths, if you are going to do anything when visiting Krakow, you must do this, we had 3 hours to relax in the hot pools, sauna's and salt room. A truly epic experience that I would highly recommend that you do. Thank you Kristian and Jay for making it an unforgettable experience! 😊

5.00From start till finish great communication from Greg. Picked us up from hotel ....explained all in very good detail....Excellent driving in very snowy conditions...Stopping when we needed to. Stop for cheese & vodka tasting ....Went to the wooden house. Took us to the cable carts ...again explained everything in great detail ....Felt very relaxed with Greg & would 100% recommend to family & friends .Excellent day from start till finish. 5.00We had an absolutely amazing day. Krystian was our tour guide who spoke really fluent English and definitely made the experience extra special from his fun personality to insightful knowledge about the local area. Due to the busy time of year, Krystian altered the route of our day to ensure we were able to maximise our time in Zakopane, missing the very long queues for the cable cart. I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone who is visiting Krakow and request Krystian as your tour guide for an extra special experience.
