The experience of the Jinshanling Great Wall is unique. It is less crowded and all you can see is the real Great Wall and natural scenery. The whole Hiking on the Great Wall takes about 4.5 hours. It is breathtakingly beautiful and a dream place for mountaineering enthusiasts.
The Jinshanling Great Wall is undoubtedly the most beautiful section of the Great Wall in China. It's near Beijing, but in Hebei Province. The one-way trip takes about 2 hours, and the Mutianyu Great Wall is 1.5 hours. The return trip may also be delayed(take about 2.5 hours) due to checkpoints. Except for the distance, there is no point to complain.
But when you reach the top of the Jinshanling Great Wall and see the stunning scenery, you will feel that all these difficulties are worth it.

The Jinshanling Great Wall is undoubtedly the most beautiful section of the Great Wall in China. with few people and an authentic experience. There are three hiking routes 1. 【2.5 hours】The Essential Great Wall. Enter from Mid Gate - walk alone the walker‘s path - to the Brick Crenel, start hiking from Brick Crenel to Shalingkou, after visit from 【Shalingkou】 follow the tourist walker’s path return to the Mid Gate. 2. 【3.5 hours】Great Wall of photographers. Enter from Mid Gate - walk alone the walker‘s path - to the Brick Crenel, start hiking from Brick Crenel to 【Xiaojinshan Tower】, after visit, from Xiaojinshan take oneway cable car back to the Mid Gate. 3. 【4.5 hours】The Must-sees of the Great Wall. Enter from Mid Gate - walk alone the walker‘s path - to the Brick Crenel, start hiking from Brick Crenel to East 【Five-windows Tower】, after visit, from 【Five-windows Tower】follow the tourist walker’s path to the East Gate，then take shuttle bus back to the Mid Gate.

5.00The trip was great giving us plenty of time to explore at our own speed. Our tour guide Maggie was fantastic, very helpful, and kept checking the tour members to make sure no one is left behind. The mini bus stopped for toilet breaks too. Highly recommended.

5.00David was a great guide, keeping track of everyone along the wall, giving lots of interesting background and history on both the wall and beijing. He took photos for us including group and I divide all photos. Everything ran on time. The bus is new and clean. I would recommend.

5.005/5 experience. Lucy, our tour leader, provided clear WhatsApp instructions for the meeting/pickup point the evening before. It also allowed me to set expectations and prepare for the day ahead. Once on the bus, Lucy mentioned some fun facts about the Wall and provided an illustration of the Great Wall map so I could plan my time on the East and West sections of the Jinshanling wall. Her English was perfectly fine to comprehend throughout. I had about 4-5 hours to explore the Great Wall as I wished, which I think was sufficient time to take in the views and click pictures. I would recommend first walking on the semi-restored West section of the wall for fewer people. Overall the tour was organized smoothly and the bus dropped us off around 6pm. I recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore the Great Wall as a full-day activity.

5.00The tour went great. On-time departure as indicated in the reservation. Our guide, Dao, confirmed the activity the previous afternoon recalling meeting point and time. He has accompanied us back and forth, removed the entrances for us and accompanied us during the tour along the wall giving us space and time to walk at our own pace. The chosen route begins at Zhuanduokou Pass and proceeds east to East five-window tower, so it combines a large part of the restored wall with unrestored stretches. The difficulty of the route is medium, not very complicated but it can be tired for some people depending on physical form. Anyway, considering that we have visited this section of the wall in the middle of Golden Week, there has been no saturation of people except for some more concentration in the sections near the lift climb in the restored area. In the unrestored sections, there have been times when we have not agreed with more people. Undoubtedly a highly recommended tour if you have the transportation time (2h round trip, 3h return) to enjoy a wonder of the world away from the crowds.

5.00Perfect experience with Zanbus. The service was on time and the staff on board was available. You can do the ticket for both the Great wall entry and the cable car on bus without paying an extra price.. so easy. super recommended for your visit to The Mutianyu Great Wall!
