• The best way to see Penguins from Santiago

  I looked at trying to reach Zapallar by bus, but the schedule was almost impossible unless you have several days. So I settled on this trip instead and it was definitely the right choice. Picked up from my hotel on time (they contacted me the day before with the exact time for pick up). Once they have collected all the other passengers (there were 8 of us) headed off to Zapallar. We stopped on the way for a toilet break and you can buy snacks if you want. The boat trip is on a small fishing boat with only 4 passengers and lasts an hour. They take several passes around the island and there were plenty of penguins as well as other sea birds. I have included pictures but I have a 600mm lens - you will not get as good pictures with just a phone. We saw one baby sea lion, but unfortunately no sea otters (but they are rare - so if you do see one remember how lucky you are) After the boat trip we went on to Papudo and horse riding. Only one of the group had done any riding before, but honestly they were very placid horses so don't worry if you haven't ridden before. We rode along the beach and back but only at a walk. Then back to Papudo beach where you can have lunch at a seafood restaurant (not included). The food was excellent according to the others - I opted to walk the beach front instead as I had brought my own lunch. Then back to the hotel. Overall a great day out and I think reasonably priced. The trip was originally planned for the next day, but the company contacted me about changing the day because there was going to be bad weather on the day I booked. So excellent communication. The guide was multilingual - English and Portugese for us - and kept us informed. I would recommend this trip to anyone who likes penguins.

  A fantastic experience! An unparalleled program in Santiago, with an excellent guide (Juan) and a first-rate driver (Sebastián). We were taught the history of the villages we visited and much about the local flora and fauna, Humboldt penguins, horseback riding on the beach, a beach break and, finally, a lovely little gift!   Seeing penguins in Cachagua by boat was magical, and the ride in Papudo by the coast, spectacular, with incredible views. All inclusive. 5/5. From the best experiences in Chile.

  It is a very interesting experience for lovers of marine fauna. The guides are very friendly and have an excellent layout. It is a must to know some of the most beautiful spas in the central area. 1000% recommended!

  We had an unforgettable experience with Brothers Tours! I highly recommend it, we felt very safe, it was a quiet walk, along the beach and the Chilean coast, and with horseback riding (mansitos) and lush landscapes, a rare and extremely pleasant walk! The guide was super attentive the whole time! I only have praise! Let's have an inesquevel experience with Brothers Tours! I recommend muito, we feel very safe, foi um passeio tranquil, pela praia e Costa Chilena e com passeio à cavalo (mansinhos) e paisagens lush, passeio rare and extremely pleasant. • Spectacular experience of Chilean coast

  We had an amazing time! Our guide, Paul, and driver, Sebastian, were really sweet and attentive. We felt very comfortable the whole time even when sailing in open waters and horseback riding on ocean cliffside. The views were spectacular!   The tour was amazing. Seeing penguins was beautiful and the ride 10/10. Really a great experience, the super attentive and patient guide Juan de Dios lets you take the photos you want and even helps you take them. From the first contact the experience was very good. I highly recommend, I would definitely contact them again for more tours✨❣️

  It was too rich, zapallar per se is a beautiful beach and it was there that we took the boat to first see the penguins and what a beautiful thing to be able to see them in their habitation, then came the ride and I felt too much in a film for all the flowers that you see along the way and finish with a super fresh and delicious lunch watching the sea gave the closure to a perfect day!
