  My guide Arianna was delightful and offered very interesting pieces of historic background while taking us through the tour. I’m vet glad I chose it as I had little time in Zurich and this allowed me to see short glimpses of important sites. She also knew good sites for pictures which was a bonus

  Our tour was very interesting. It was after dark and churches were closed, so it was not the same itinerary as advertised. But we still walked in the historic district and we saw Einstein's old locker in the University. We were able to ask questions about life in Zurich with our guide. I only wish that we had done the tour sooner in our stay in Zurich, instead of our last day. We got tips on some additional out of the way stops that we never got to visit.

  Take the tour at the beginning of your visit if possible. We weren’t able to go until the evening before we left Zurich.

  I came to Zürich for a couple of days on my own before a business trip, and booked the tour with Der Nachtwanderer. I often do this in cities and this tour exceeded my expectations. Maria came to Switzerland I believe over 20 years ago, and loves the city and it's history. She showed me so many wonderful places — the university where Einstein studied, two beautiful and important churches with gorgeous stained glass windows and significant history with the Reformation, a portion of the original city wall, and images and relics from the city dating back to at least the 12 century. The stories Maria told really brought things to life for me, such that the next day when I was walking around alone, they came back to me, and I really felt like I knew the city somewhat well at a deeper level. Her fondness for Zurich is contagious. Highly recommend this tour.

  Enjoyed seeing inside church and crypt. Interesting old town lanes. Cool to walk through historic city sewer. Thank you Maria for a nice afternoon

  Maria was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide! She took us to places we never would have known about. This made our short time in Zurich even better. The Historic District is a very special area. Highly recommend this tour.

  Great guide, very professional, courteous and friendly. Went to all the Christmas markets including some extra stops. Absolutely loved it. A definite tour to see the Christmas markets with a guide! Great job thank you.
