  The group at West Bay divers is incredible. We were certified with Bastian and Lisa. They were very attentive, patient and knowledgeable for our family of five. The office staff with Barney and Wayne were so helpful in our preparation before the trip and logistics once we arrived. They were accommodating very professional and made the whole experience amazing. We highly recommend the dive shop. Thank you!

  West Bay Divers exceeded every expectation! A special thank you to Carlos, who taught my 11-year-old daughter, Kayla, during her Open Water certification course. His patience, kindness, professionalism, and encouragement throughout the entire process were truly remarkable. He made learning fun while always keeping safety first, and his calm, positive approach gave both Kayla and me complete confidence. Carlos is the MVP—1000%! Barney and Carla were wonderful at the front desk, always accommodating with scheduling changes and equipment needs. They made us feel welcomed from day one and treated us like family throughout our stay. Hannah’s photos were absolutely stunning. She captured memories that we will cherish forever, and the quality of her work was exceptional. Every single member of the West Bay Divers team was friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The entire operation runs seamlessly, and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and fun. Thank you all for helping make Kayla’s certification experience so special.   Had an awesome experience getting certified for open water diving! Arturo was our dive master and he was outstanding!! Highly recommend West Bay Divers to anyone coming to Roatan.   My son and I just finished our open water certification with west bay, our instructor was Takeshi. Takeshi was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful when you had simple questions, he was always calm and easy going, I don’t think you could ask for a better instructor. On our certification dives we got to see many species of marine life, multiple types of else also various sizes, lots of bucket list type fish, slugs, lobsters, squids, and shrimps. Highly recommend diving with west bay not only for the great prices, but the quality instructors and equipment. We are already planning our next dives with Takeshi.

  Abner is an absolute legend! I cannot express enough gratitude for his incredible support and expertise. Diving was something that made me extremely anxious, but Abner’s patience and calm professionalism transformed my experience completely. He guided me through my dive certification with such care and understanding, making it not only educational but also an absolute blast! Under his watchful eye, I witnessed the breathtaking wonders of the sea—turtles, seahorses, squid, sharks, and an endless array of vibrant fish. Abner’s approach helped me conquer my dive anxiety, and I emerged not just certified, but with unforgettable memories and a newfound love for diving.   This was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Really patient instructors that are extremely friendly and understanding. They help you with everything and walk you through all of what you need to know. Heard from others that it was way better than other dive shops that they've been to. Highly recommend it. Arturo and Joel were the instructors that we had for the trip but they others are equally as friendly, helpful, and a great time to be around all of them.   My husband and I completed our PADI Open Water certification with West Bay Divers this week and had the best experience! Our instructor, Takeshi, was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. We had such a great time and highly recommend West Bay Divers for your Open Water cert or any diving adventures while in Roatan!

  Just spent a week with them diving for the first time getting my open water certification. Joel was my instructor and he was awesome, very knowledgeable, fun and a great instructor! Our other dive masters were Nico and Kareem and our boat captain Justin who were also all great and really made my first time diving epic! 10/10 would recommend.

  We had a fantastic time diving with Joel, who gave us a refresher dive and this led to several dives and a first time night dive. His character was gentle, very calm which for me me was extremely important. It had been a while since we dived and he made it seem like we had been diving on a regular basis. The concept of the night dive was extremely scary, but his reassuring nature allowed my wife and I to have an exceedingly amazing experience. We plan on coming back and would want to have Joel as our dive guide most assuredly. This experience definitely puts Roatan on the map for us, and for anyone we will share this with. The entire operation, including Barney, the manager of the facility, and all of the people included from captains of the boat to other instructors was top notch. A trip of a lifetime and an experience never to be forgotten. Thanks, West Bay divers, and especially JOEL!!!!
