This full-day Milford Sound extraordinaire tour from Te Anau will have you traveling along the spectacular Milford Road. With fun commentary and plenty of local knowledge provided you will have a chance to see keas, seals, dolphins and the Fiordland crested penguin.

In addition to a scenic cruise on Milford Sound, this full-day tour includes short nature walks and opportunities to explore some of Fiordland’s most striking landscapes. Take time to admire powerful waterfalls fed by glacier-carved terrain as they flow into the UNESCO World Heritage–listed fiord.

Enjoy a relaxed pace with morning tea provided, and informative English commentary throughout the day covering the region’s unique geology, history, and natural environment, adding depth and context to the breathtaking scenery.

Mirror Lakes Walk

A short walk viewing the "Mirror Lakes" where the Earl mountains reflect on the small oxbow lakes. You will take photos which will look the same turned 180 deg. Whilst this can be 1 five minute walk, we allow 15 minutes for you to soak up the amazing scenery

We booked a small-group tour to Milford Sound and it was absolutely worth the extra cost — especially with kids in tow. Our guide Alan was fantastic: fun, engaging, and great at keeping the little ones interested the whole way. He stopped often for photo opportunities and made sure everyone got the shots they wanted. Having a smaller group made a huge difference too, much more personal and relaxed than a big bus tour. If you’re traveling with young kids, I’d highly recommend this over self-driving. Alan made the whole trip stress-free and memorable!

Absolutely amazing and worth the money! 😃 I went on this tour yesterday as a solo traveller with 6 other tourists. Our guide, Stephen, was absolutely great! Gave us a lot of interesting information about the beautiful scenery, stopped at some great places to let us take pictures and created such a great enviroment and ensured we had the best day trip! I highly recommend this tour! It is really worth spending a little extra money and getting to travel in a smaller tour bus rather than the big busses whichcan cary 50 people. The lunch and hot drink in the morning was so great as well! 10/10 - would do it again 😃

Our day trip with Fiordland tours to Milford sounds was phenomenal, our driver Allan was very knowledgeable and down to earth and funny, morning tea and lunch supplied was outstanding, would definitely highly recommend these guys 100 percent, thanks for hosting us, Dave and Mel Nolan.

Tania was absolutely incredible! She made everyone feel special and showed us the most amazing views. Our daughter had a million questions, and she was so patient and loving. We couldn't have asked for a better tour. 🥰

This was an incredible experience from start to finish! We were picked up promptly at our requested location in Te Anau, and enjoyed a warm van ride with plenty of scenic stops along the way! Our guide, Sasha, was wonderful! She was funny and informative, and the small group atmosphere really made the experience feel special, on top of the incredible views at Milford Sound. I would 100% recommend booking with Fiordland Tours to make your visit to Milford Sound unforgettable!

This was such a great day - currently solo travelling NZ and wanted to treat myself to a premium experience and that’s exactly what I got! Tania was an incredible guide, she is so friendly and knowledgeable. The day was packed with stops and activities but it felt very relaxed and didn’t feel rushed at all. Felt really well taken care of and it was such a personal and intimate experience. Will absolutely recommend to friends and family. Thank you Tania and team!

It was very enjoyable. Our transfer bus driver Sasha bought the ride up there to life. The only negatives were on the ship we could barely hear or understand the captain. Oh yes, the coffee ran out early.

Our family of four adults joined this tour at accommodation host’s recommendation. Booking was easy. Pick up and drop off at our accommodation (Radford on the Lake) was appreciated. Our guide Stephen was very knowledgable, friendly, abd an expert driver. We had a perfect day. Will highly recommend.
