One hour in the saddle is the ideal way to enjoy the majestic Western Colorado Rocky Mountains! From the stables, you will climb in elevation and cross a natural mesa meadow which provides opportunities to overlook the Colorado River winding lazily through Glenwood Canyon. As you leave the meadow and continue to ascend, look for wildlife and take in amazing panoramas of aspen groves, cedar forests, and the surrounding mountains and canyons. Views of the valleys and walls of spectacular Glenwood Canyon. No experience needed, suitable for children as young as 7.

Sick horses used for trail ride :(

3.00The trail guides for the horseback riding at Blair Ranch were very customer service focused, which was appreciated. However, many or even most, of the horses were clearly sick, including the ones used for the trail ride.Many horses were coughing. We saw one horse that looked very under-nourished, with its ribs showing. The guides did not seem knowledgeable about the horses, and there was one incident where a young, mostly untrained horse, was put in the paddock with other horses and a potential conflict between the horses erupted. The guides calmed down the horses, but a knowledgeable horse trainer would not have allowed the situation to happen in the first place. Additionally, the trail consisted mainly of dirt roads, rather than horse trails going through meadows and other natural areas, as we have experienced with other horse riding companies.

5.00The 2 hour trail ride was fantastic! Our guide, Landon, did an amazing job helping us along the way and sharing fun stories and history about the ranch and a rea. The views of the ranch and canyon were beautiful. I was also pleased with the reminders and even a call the day before to check if we had questions before our ride. A great time - would definitely recommend 👍👍

5.00This was a wonderful experience- our guide Taylor was very considerate and explained everything. My horse was perfect for me as a 75 year old who hasn’t been on a horse in 55 years.

5.00It was wonderful. I have never ridden a horse, and our guide was very informative and attentive. My water bottle fell out of my pocket on the ride. I told her because I felt like I defiled the land. She assured me she would find it, but inquired if I would be okay without water. So kind.

5.00Takes some time to get started but ride is worth it. Horses are pretty solid well mannered. Non riders seemed to do well. We enjoyed being “passengers” and not having to actively ride. Enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Trail guides were friendly and chill. Lots of opportunities for pictures.

5.00We took an afternoon ride up the mountains with Taylor as our guide. We are pretty inexperienced with horseback riding and really had no problems. Beautiful views and animals. Great way to spend an afternoon!

5.00Beautiful trail ride on well trained horses up through mountains and wooded areas. A beautiful glen at the top to rest and take photos! Guide was hilarious riding bareback.
