In May 2026, I did a six-day safari with Safari Vacations & Travel Services together with my father and two friends from England. Our trip started in Kigali, Rwanda, and ended in Entebbe, Uganda. The itinerary included golden monkeys in Rwanda, gorilla and chimpanzee trekking in Uganda, a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, and a detour to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we saw elephants, lions, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos and many other animals. Overall, this was a fantastic and very well-organised safari. It was impressive how much we were able to experience in only six days, while still having time to relax at our hotels between the activities. We upgraded our accommodation and stayed in very comfortable 3- to 4-star hotels, many of which had good restaurants, swimming pools, saunas and places to rest after long travel days. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were included, and the food was consistently very good. Drinks such as water and soft drinks were also included, while alcohol was paid separately. A special mention must go to our guide and driver, Richard. He was absolutely excellent throughout the whole safari. He was friendly, professional, service-minded and made sure we reached every hotel, park and activity safely and efficiently. He picked us up and briefed us every day about what to expect, especially before the gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, and he always made us feel well taken care of. His safari vehicle was also very comfortable, spacious and practical for longer drives. We had plenty of room for ourselves, our luggage and even charging our phones during the journey. My only small piece of feedback is that although the six-day itinerary worked very well, it was also quite intense. For travellers who want a more relaxed pace, I would recommend considering a longer version of the trip, perhaps nine or ten days, to have more time to enjoy the hotels, rest between activities and take in each destination more slowly. That said, the safari itself was excellent from start to finish. The booking process, communication, planning, accommodation, food, transport and guiding were all handled very smoothly. I would warmly recommend Safari Vacations & Travel Services to anyone who wants to experience Uganda and Rwanda in a special way. Not only the classic savannah animals but also to get to visit the homes of the amazing golden monkeys, gorillas and chimpanzees. It’s an unforgettable experience everyone should do once in their lifetime. I happily give this company and this safari the highest rating.

After speaking to many different tour companies, both myself and my wife were trying to find the right fit for our family trip. From the very first contact, Jason at Safari Vacations Travel was incredibly helpful, responsive, and genuinely went out of his way to cater for our family’s needs and answer all of our questions. In the end, my wife took preference to another company. Despite this, Jason remained extremely understanding and professional. What really stood out to me was that he took the time to ask for feedback on what he could have done differently, which showed how much he genuinely cares about providing the best service possible. Although we didn’t end up booking the tour through Safari Vacations Travel, I still felt it was important to leave a review because kindness, professionalism, and excellent customer service should be recognised. Jason’s helpfulness throughout the process was greatly appreciated and certainly not forgotten.

Amon was an amazing guide & driver! He took us through both Uganda and Rwanda. Countless hours, roads, off trail adventures, crazy traffic, shortcuts, border crossings, and more. He kept us safe and comfortable the whole time. He was also an awesome Safari guide and somehow seemed to know where everything was wherever we went without ever even needing his GPS. 😉 5 stars, highly recommend!

Amazing 8 Days in Uganda with Safari Vacation & Travel Services I had an incredible 8-day journey in Uganda, perfectly organized from start to finish. Jason was always responsive, and even though my flight was delayed by 5 hours, my guide Bosco was waiting for me in Entebbe right on time. We drove to Kibale for 2 days of chimpanzee trekking, then spent 3 days on safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park. I added a night safari and GPS tracking of large predators — and it was absolutely worth it. I finally saw three leopards very close, as well as lions. After that, we visited Bwindi for gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi, and as requested, I was transferred to Rwanda at the end of the trip. The only small issue was a short car breakdown near the Equator, but it was fixed quickly. Accommodation was a pleasant surprise: although I asked for budget options, every place was comfortable, with good beds, great service, and excellent food. I chose this company because of their flexibility and good prices when I first contacted them last year while planning Rwanda.(I traveled independently at thet time) I’m very glad I did. Now I’m already dreaming of returning to Kibale for a longer chimpanzee experience — two days felt too short. The chimpanzees in Uganda are incredible and not afraid of people at all. Bring rubber boots, sunscreen, and small cash for tips — and enjoy. Uganda is fun and not scary at all! Highly recommended.
