Come to see most popular and unique locations in Iceland's South Coast and experience the world's rarest natural phenomenon: a blue ice cave which you will reach by hiking on the glacier, under Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier. In this 2-day tour you'll visit all attractions that make Iceland the best travel destination: powerful waterfalls, black sand beaches, Jokulsarlon, the one and only glacier lagoon, and will go hunting for the mighty northern lights.

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed by the operator. The hotels are in prime locations to maximize chances of seeing them.
The limit is 24″ suitcase per person, and no multiple luggage allowed. If there is limited space in the car you might need to leave part of your luggage in our luggage storage, free of charge.
Please contact us regarding pick up. There are some hotels where buses are not allowed to drive. You can find information about designated pick up locations at busstop.is or ask the front desk of your hotel. Pick up from Keflavík airport or outside of the greater capital area is not available.
We recommend you bring hiking boots with slip-resistant soles if you are visiting in the winter. Hiking boots are available at the time of booking.
Ice caves are a dynamic natural phenomena only accessible during wintertime when temperatures drop. Each year new unique caves are formed in different areas of the glacier. We visit a naturally formed ice cave during this tour. The photos are from this winter season, but the cave and other formations we visit might have changed due to the nature of formations.

We start with pick up from Reykjavík, either your hotel or your closest bus stop.
Seljalandsfoss waterfall
We head to the South and visit the powerful theatrics of Seljalandsfoss. Bring a raincoat and you'll be able to make the short hike behind the falls.
Skogafoss
Tucked in a little gorge, the river Skógá tumbles down a 60 meter cliff before continuing down the landscape towards the Atlantic Ocean. Alongside the gorge is a staircase that can take you up to the shelf above the waterfall for stunning views.
Skaftafell National Park
We will hike an outlet glacier spawning from one of the largest glaciers in the country. After meeting out highly trained glacier guides and strapping on safety equipment you will hike on the ice for at least two hour. Our journey on ice continues as we will experience the blue ice cave in Skaftafell. Your guide will share with you his expertise about the ice caves, allowing you to truly appreciate this amazing natural phenomenon.

Glacier Lagoon
Heading off day number 2 is Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, a 200m deep lagoon fed by Breiðarmerkurjökull, an outlet glacier of Europe's largest glacier. Enormous icebergs come from the glacier all year around so the lagoon is usually filled with ice that floats South. Try walking alongside the glacier lagoon enjoying the magnificent views.
Fellsfjara
On the other side of the road the ice bergs from Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon float into the Atlantic Ocean where they are quickly thrown back to shore by the tide and winds. This black sand beach is full of smaller ice rocks in all shapes and sizes, sparkling like diamonds in the daylight.
Reynisfjara Beach
The Black Sand Beach of Reynisfjara where the Atlantic coastline presents massive waves hitting the unique basalt columns in the cliffs above the sand. Rock pillars in water and the cliffs of Dýrhóley are seen in the distance. This area of the South is also a paradise for bird lovers, as puffins and dozens of other unique species nest on top of these cliffs in the summertime from June to August.

5.00I did this fantastic tour with John, who had a fantastic sense of humour and was able to drive through the windy and snowy roads of the South coast with great safety and skill. He decided to change the itinerary, since the first day's weather was horrible and the second day seemed much nicer. The glaciar hike and ice cave tour was pending, but he called them and they decided to change it to the second day's morning, which was such a great choice. We were able to experience Jokulsarlon lagoon and diamond beach on the first day, although it was very windy and rainy so it would have been better to see them the next day, but then it would have been way too packed with activities. We spent the night at guesthouse, located in a remote area, but unluckily we didn't get to see the lights that night. Dinner was reserved for the whole group in advance and it was delicious, although obviously expensive, as the rest of restaurants in Iceland. The guesthouse was clean and good, I had a great sleep. The following morning we did the awesome glacier hike, saw a small ice cave and then headed back to Reikiavik stopping at the Reynisfjara beach and the two waterfalls. The weather was shining and we had little to no wind, so we were very thankful to not have had to do this activities the previous day, as we wouldn't have been able to see nearly anything. The times allotted for each stop were reasonable to take some pictures and enjoy the place too. John took us back to Reikiavik safely and told us information along the way in both directions. He was very nice and we had a lovely dinner with him. Thank you so much!

5.00Joined this tour with a friend for a few days getaway. Absolutely worth it. Our guide, Bran, was fantastic. He was both friendly and knowledgeable. We did a glacier hike, waterfall and saw black diamond beach in day one. Day two we saw the largest waterfall in Iceland, along with some iconic black volcanic beaches. For a short trip this was definitely the way to go.
10/10 Experience!

5.00What an amazing tour! Bran was a spectacular, knowledgeable, happy tour guide. He planned the days perfectly thinking about special moments to make the tour even more extraordinary. The guest house was also a wonderful surprise. It was beautifully decorated and a perfect location to see the northern lights out the front door of our apartment. I would use this tour company again and ask for Bran as well!

5.00This is a really wonderful trip! Haffi, the guide, is super responsible and nice, bringing us to several secret view spots and guiding us meet with Northern light. He is the best guide I have ever met. This is truly a memorable trip in my life. Love Iceland, love Icelandic food and view! Super nice!

5.00I feel so lucky to have had Haffi as our guide! We had amazing weather and an even better experience. Haffi is truly the best guide—he went above and beyond by taking us to several extra spots and providing such detailed, interesting explanations. Even his song lists were perfectly curated for the scenery, creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the trip. He is incredibly responsible and even managed to catch the Northern Lights for us on the way back! Highly recommended!

For the glacier walk, two guides are really kind and nice, they are talkative and willing to help us. I will share it with my friends!
