Devrent Valley
Unlike other valleys in the Cappadocia region, Devrent Valley was never inhabited by humans. There are no rock-hewn churches or ancient castles, nor are there any troglodyte caves or pigeon homes.
Avanos
Avanos, located 15 kilometers north of Nevşehir and known as 'Venessa' in ancient times, has a history dating back to BC. It dates back to the Hittites in the 2000s. The history of Avanos Pottery dates back to the Hittites, who ruled over all of Cappadocia.
Pasabag Vadisi
While exploring the caves carved into the giant fairy chimneys at Paşabağ, they learned from the locals that these were actually small monasteries. Because the monasteries housed monks, the region's early explorers named it the Valley of the Monks. Locals now refer to it as Paşabağ.
Goreme Panorama
Panorama Hill is a wonderful place where you can watch the sunrise and sunset and observe the fairy chimneys in the fascinating view of Cappadocia.
Uchisar
Uçhisar Castle is the region's most dominant peak. Viewed from the south, the castle rises over 50 meters and from the north, over 100 meters. From the lower road, the castle appears to be over 200 meters tall.
Zelve Open Air Museum
The Zelve Open Air Museum is located 5 kilometers south of Avanos, here on Google Maps. You drive straight up to the entrance gate, which has a small gift shop and several cafés. Entrance is 20TL/person (in 2020), and free with a MüzeKart. Zelve is just 1 kilometer east of the Paşabağı Open Air Museum, whose famous fairy-chimney hermitages are also worth a visit.

Çavuşin Village (Çavuşin Church) ADD TO MY ROUTE Let's Go! Çavuşin Valley takes its name from Çavuşin Village in its region. The village, built among large rocks, is home to a long history. The village, with its history dating back to the first century, is the area where Christian monks escaped from Roman attacks. Living spaces have been built inside the rocks to protect them from attacks. Living people used pigeon manure by explaining cavities in the chimneys due to inefficient soils. With the Byzantine period, Christianity lived freely, and with the coming of the Seljuks, it gained a place in Islam in the region. Churches, monasteries and mosques were built, the foundations of the brotherhood of religions were laid
Pigeon Valley
Pigeon Valley, which stretches 4 kilometers from Uçhisar to Göreme, takes its name from the pigeon nests carved into the rocks. Until the 9th century, locals kept these pigeons, using their droppings in vineyards and their eggs in the plaster of frescoes.
It is known that the valley, which is located near Göreme and has a unique beauty, is composed of tuff rocks that have turned red due to iron oxidation in the depressions formed as a result of volcanic eruptions in the pit.
Ortahisar
Ortahisar castle is located in Ortahisar, a very ancient town in Cappadocia. It is renowned for having the largest fairy chimney in the region. The history of settlement in Ortahisar dates back to ancient times, reaching as far back as the 11th century. When migration from Central Asia to Anatolia began, the Uzbeks from Horasan built nine separate houses here. With the houses constructed by these nine families, Ortahisar transformed into a town, and these nine families became the first settlers in the area.
Ozkonak Underground City
The history of the Özkonak Underground City in Turkey. The people of Cappadocia, known as the Anatolians, were faced with numerous invasions and attacks. In order to protect themselves, they began carving out underground tunnels and rooms in the soft volcanic rock.

It was a very good experience to join the activity with Adams Holiday to Cappadocia. They picked us up from the airport in time and ease our arrival/entrance to the hotel. The next day everything for balloon tour was arranged and they picked us from the hotel. We also did Atv tour, attended wine test in a nice manufacturing site, visited literally every single valley worth to see, tried many local dishes in really nice and authentic restaurants. It was very enjoyable to travel with Adams Holiday and we are very happy to advise on them.
