An amazing few days. we had a wonderful tour guide Val and our driver Bernie both were a perfect team. We never felt rushed, saw SO much and they both made the experience for us. I was worried abit about accommodation after seeing some of the reviews but can say both hotels were clean and had hot showers!! the food was great (I’m veggie/vegan and didn’t have to worry once) and as a solo traveller I was also abit worried about being left out or third-wheeling with other couples and groups but out of the 5 of us the company did a good job at putting us together with 3 solo travellers and 2 guys travelling together. We had a great dynamic and I was genuinely sad to leave at the end. All in all it was an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend booking with this company. I feel like there’s so much out there to choose from but I definitely appreciated the security of having pre-booked online, and I’m really pleased with the company I chose to book with!

We did the 3 day/ 2 night trip from Uyuni to the Chile border. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, and was made special by our very caring and capable guide , Raquel, who was knowledgeable with a great sense of fun. The vehicle was in good order and we were in the skilled hands of our driver Oscar, which is important as the roads can be rough at times. There were 7 people in the vehicle including the guide and driver, and you wouldn’t want to have any more, but we switched places frequently and fell into an easy companionship with the group. We were in awe of the beauty of the salt flats and the magnificent and diverse landscapes, ranging from flamingos in lagoons to geysers and smoking volcanoes. The accommodation was simple but comfortable, with our own private bathroom, and good meals. As we were travelling on to San Pedro de Atacama we paid a small additional fee to be met at the Chilean side by an agent who facilitated our border crossing and transferred us to San Pedro. Because of the unrest in Bolivia we had to make some changes to our itinerary, but we are very grateful we could fly into Uyuni and enjoy this wonderful experience.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY, many other tour companies which provide the same route with better tour guides, facilities, and overall better experience for a better price. It often felt as though the guide did not want to be there. There was very little explanation provided at the various sites, and we found ourselves listening to guides from other groups to understand what we were seeing. In addition, he appeared frustrated when asked questions by members of the group. This had a significant negative impact on our overall experience. Both breakfast and dinner portions were insufficient for the size of the group. Furthermore, we did not receive lunch on the final day, despite paying the same price as others. Given the very early and minimal breakfast at 4:30am, a packed lunch should have been provided considering we didn't arrive back until later in the evening. They do not respond to any email's after you have paid...

Our 3-day tour with Andes Salt Expeditions (out of Uyuni and ending in San Pedro de Atacama) was the biggest highlight of our month-long, highlight-filled Latin America trip! From the communications upfront to the execution and logistics of the tour itself, it exceeded all our already very high expectations! Guide Diego and his team were fantastic - helpful, safe, professional, and super nice! On top of this, Diego was a superb photographer who made many beautiful and funny, creative pictures and videos for the whole group (of nine). The places we visited were mesmerizing, especially the Salt Flats, Cactus Island (including a sunset with wine and snacks!), many stunning lagoons (like Laguna Colorada), geysers at sunrise (yep, no sleeping in ...), and views on volcanoes (including an active one blowing steam)! The two overnight accommodations were beyond our expectations - quite cold (no heating inside) and once only a cold shower (wasn't planned, but can happen, so don't freak out over that ...), but good, clean rooms, warm beds (likely add some layers) and good food. Be prepared to have clothes for cold moments. At the end, Diego provided all the help needed to smoothly cross the Bolivia-Chile border and get us on transport to San Pedro de Atacama. All in all, a super tour, great guide and team, great tour companions and fantastic locations - you won't regret this tour and will carry terrific memories for years to come! Worth every dollar and all effort!

We really enjoyed the 2 night/ 3 day salt flats tour from Uyuni to San Pedro de Atacama. Our tour guide, Beihmar, was professional, knowledgeable and responsible and we felt lucky to have him as a guide. He drove responsibly and the car was safe - important when driving long distances in these harsh environments. Everything was well organised including our entry to Chile on the final day. The landscapes of the tour are breathtaking - you feel like you are on another planet for a few days. Watching the sunset over the flats on the first night with a Bolivian wine was a wonderful experience. The food provided throughout the tour was humble, homemade cooking and the lunches on the road were better than expected. The first night at the salt hostel was very cosy, the second night was more basic accommodation and we would recommend renting a sleeping bag for the second night stay. Take lots of warm layers (including thermals) as it can get very cold, especially at night! Would recommend this tour with a professional and reputable operator. Thanks!

Amazing experience!! We did the 3D/2N tour and it was wonderful. All the days and stops were really well planned and I truly have nothing to say. We had enough time to enjoy each stop and it didn’t feel rushed. My cousin and I are also very allergic to nuts and peanuts and the organizers managed it well. We had no issues at all. The food was always hot and tasty (soups, pique macho, chicken, rice) . Before going, we were scared for the cold nights, but we rented some sleeping bags and were warm for the two nights. The accommodations were always clean and hot showers were available. Moreover, our guide, Raquel, spoke English really well and the information was relevant. Finally, our driver, Oscar was really sweet and it was fun to practice our Spanish with him! Thank you so much for the tour, I recommend it 100%!

This was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our South American trip. The landscapes throughout the tour were completely surreal and constantly varied – from the magical Salar de Uyuni to the colorful lagoons and dramatic views of the Eduardo Avaroa Natural Reserve. An extra big thank you to our guide Beymar and our other driver Bernardo who made the experience so amazing from start to finish. They were incredibly professional, organized and kept everything running smoothly – both practically and logistically. At the same time they contributed with a constant good mood and created a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere in the group. Beymar was also very knowledgeable and shared interesting information about the nature, wildlife, geology and culture of the area throughout the trip. Bernardo drove safely and securely even on long days and tougher road conditions, allowing you to relax and enjoy the surroundings to the fullest. The highlights were many, but the Salar de Uyuni with its huge expanses and the mirror effect at sunset was absolutely magical. The Eduardo Avaroa Reserve also offered some of the most spectacular nature experiences we have ever seen – coloured lagoons, flamingos, volcanic landscapes and incredible views everywhere. We can warmly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience some of the world's most unique landscapes together with a professional and dedicated team. Thank you Beymar and Bernardo for three unforgettable days!

The salar of uyuni is the cherry of the cake of the 3 day package, plus the other attractions are also super worth it, but it is a very tired and pulled ride due to the altitude, more when you go to see the beauties of the places, everything is worth it. We made the package with the company Expediciones Arbor del Piedra, and we recommend.
