LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
This morning, you will depart from Nairobi by road and proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, regarded by avid birders' as the greatest world ornithological spectacle on earth. The park is famous for its millions of pink flamingos lining on the lake shore, arriving mid morning at Lake Nakuru for a game drive en-route before checking in at your lodge for lunch. A spectacular afternoon game run is planned. The park is a sanctuary to the black rhino, white rhino, and the Rothschild giraffe. Bird life include common species like the lesser and greater flamingos, African fish eagle, Tawny eagle, green wood hoopoes, cliff chat, great white and pink backed pelicans, plus other intra-African migrants. Today, you will stay overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Today, you will be served lunch and dinner, and drinking water will also be available for you.

After a leisure breakfast at your lodge, you will depart overland to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, jewel of Kenya's game parks. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains is famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration and is a true home of the big five, lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and cape buffalo. After lunch, you will explore the reserve on a late evening "spice" game drive. Today, you will stay overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge, Mara Serena Lodge, or Siana Springs Tented Camp. You will be served breakfast, lunch, and dinner today, while drinks will not be included.

The Masai Mara is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. For today, morning and afternoon "spice" game drives are planned. Large mammals are varied, abundant, and easy to see there. Residents among the parks mammals are Masai giraffe, buffalo, impala, zebra, topi, and both the Thomson's and Grant's gazelles. Today, optional hot air balloon rides are available at an additional cost. On this final day in the Mara, you will also have an opportunity to visit an authentic Masai village. You will stay overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge, Mara Serena Lodge, or Mara Leisure Camp. You will be served breakfast, lunch, and dinner today, while drinks will not be included.

You will start the day today with an early morning "spice" game drive followed by a complete English breakfast at your lodge. You will have a mid-morning drive to Nairobi. The balance of the day is at leisure for last minute assisted shopping and sightseeing. You will be served breakfast today. This is the end of your safari, you may go to your hotel or the airport to catch your flight home.

5.00Going to Africa has been a lifelong dream of mine and finding the right person to lead the planning is critical. BooneSafaris is the company that we selected to take us to the incredible Masai Mara. Boone is a fantasic guide and source of knowledge. Our accommodations including food and spirits were top notch! We went on many "drives" and saw things we never thought we would see. It is so much better than watchcing Nat Geo! We watched a lion take down a wildebeest and 15 minutes later watched a huge herd cross the river complete with a croc attack. The adrenaline was definitely flowing!! We also watched a mama cheetah hunting and training her 4 cubs, a leopard and her 2 cubs playing, giraffes, elephants, warthogs, many different kinds of antelopes and a masaii village. There was incredible attention to detail and was great that Boone keeps his tour to max of 12 people - 4 per vehicle so everyone can see the action. OH! Did I mention that Boone is an incredible photographer as well? He takes photos throughout the trip and will share them with you. If you ever plan on going to Africa, I highly recommend that you start with Boone Safaris

5.00I cannot recommend this company enough. They were very efficient and picked us up from the airport with no issues. Our tour guide was wonderful and he really went out of his way to make sure we got the best possible animal sighting and photographs. We saw all of the big five and so much more and they were so much closer than we expected. The accommodation was incredible and we enjoyed breakfast surrounded by the zebras in the Zebra plains camp which they offer. The food was really good too and we were left full everyday. We really felt like this was amazing value for money and I would highly recommend. Big thanks to our tour guide Lawi for making our trip so incredible! If you’re thinking of using this company, you won’t regret it.

5.00From start to finish, this trip was incredible! We landed in Nairobi and walked straight out of the airport to be met by Johnathan and our driver, Noah. Over the next three days we visited Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara! Noah was so knowledgable about the huge range of animals that we were lucky enough to see and he also made it his mission to help us find the big 5- which we did! It was just incredible! Amazing trip, fantastic company and wonderful driver. Highly recommended 😊
