Mikumi National Park
Pick Up in Dar Es Salaam and drive to Mikumi National Park. Have a lunch stop at a restaurant in Msolwa, then proceed with a drive to Mikumi National Park. You will have an evening game drive until sunset. This is a home to elephants, lions, wild dogs, zebras, hyenas, buffalos, wildebeests, elands, hartebeest, crocodiles, lizards, and other residents. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in this park.

Udzungwa Mountains National Park
After breakfast, drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park then start walking in this beautiful park enjoying and experience the stunning natural beauty of the park. Have a picnic lunch in the bush then proceed exploring the area of the wonderful Sanje Waterfall, endemic red colobus monkeys and beautiful scenery. Lunch to be served at the Sanje Viewpoint. After that, you will descend and meet the car then start driving back to Mikumi.

Full day of game drives in Mikumi - whilst on safari, you can see a rich variety of bird species, as well as large numbers of giraffe, buffalo and elephants. If you are lucky you may also be able to spot lions, leopards and African wild dogs. Likely to be seen animals include zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland and antelope

5.00Practically the most fabulous nature exploration trip we have done in a long time. We went with Gecko because they are the masters of the South and have done many trips to these parks. It was fun and really enjoyable with Bundala our guide. In Mikuni we had very action-packed game drives filled with wildlife encounters. At Udzungwa we went hiking in the lush forest with so many waterfalls, monkeys, birds and just awesome nature away from the crowds.
Wow! Udzungwa is a paradise!

5.00We were looking for something different from the traditional safari's and we found it with Gecko Adventure Tanzania during our recent trip to Mikumi and Udzungwa. We enjoyed the game drives with Musa in Mikumi but it was the hiking at Udzungwa that was special. The lush green forest with different bird species, rare monkeys, waterfalls, butterflies and just the pristine nature was like MAGIC!! We are definitely going to return for an Udzungwa exclusive tour in December or next summer.

5.00Gecko Adventure Tanzania did a splendid job of organizing our safari trip to Mikumi and Udzungwa. You could tell that Rama took time to work on every detail, because all the aspects went smoothly without any hiccup. Mansoul our guide was great. Very knowledgeable and flexible to accommodate our wishes. The lodgings booked were exquisite, we had good experiences in them, and they were all along the safari circuit. It was an incredible experience to see the southern side of Tanzania.
